Hey to everyone!!
We are two young adults, Despina 24 and Deivids 25 renovating an old farm house from 1817 in Latvia.
Everything in and out of our house has been done by ourselves with no hired help.
DIY is going to apply to nearly everything in our house. Our budget is tight and that has made us appreciate every “ugly” part of this house and turn it into something new and beautiful.
We give new life to things that others would throw away!
In this journey we are not alone! We are starting up our little Farmily:
7 Goats & 2 Bucks
3 Sheep
4 chickens & 3 Chicks
1 Rooster
and 3 Geese
Oh yeah and our cat Ivi & Dog Keita
Despite our daily problems we are two young people full of joy and happiness, ready to start a new crazy chapter in our life. It wouldn’t be fair to keep this fun just for us!
That’s why we want YOU to also be part of our Farmily!!

David is undoubtedly a man of many talents. However, I’m concerned about the impact of the narrow spacing between the tractor wheels and it’s high center of gravity on overall stability

It was a problem at the start but I have made it much more stable with few improvements now it can't fall over easily at all! 😁

Tractors have been a major source of worker deaths and injury, hence the over-cab protections that are now mandated(?) in most places. Danger lurks wherever is can hide.

Hydraulic pump should have support bearing before sprocket and you are missing filter for oil on return to tank

The bearing I must add since the force the chain adds is a lot and needs a support on the other side! but the filter isn't so necessary the big tractors have no hydraulic oil filters as long as the oil is clean and there is no contamination it won't bother anything! I will add one in the future! 😀

I was working last winter on my homemade excavator project, filter was not that expensive and bearing should be between sprocket and pump because pump doesnt have bearing but sliding bushing and it shouldnt be tensioning to one side, if you search on google for pump bearing support you see what i mean, good luck with your project :)

I was thinking if you weld inside as well as outside in all the openings before you put the tank back together again would have been a better odds of it air tight and not leak.

you should think more about the safety of all that contraption than about mounting a hydraulic pump, having the wheels too close and the center of gravity so high I see it as a death trap and in fact more than once you have fallen and overturned, be careful!

Compression fittings don't use teflon tape.

Yeah as David said they are sealed with compression, Hydraulics in a sense are simpler than pluming! I feel like I enjoy working with them over doing pluming. But then again oil spills are harder to clean up than water!

@@DoBeDiff I always put teflon tape on even it the fitting has rubber sealing grommets inside.
