Actually, yes. Google Rhodopseudomonas+Rhizobia and you'll be blown away. I've been told that even PGA golf courses are fertilized with this stuff haha (that can't be cheap)! All I know from personal experience is that it grows a wicked tomato. 😁

I added a bottle to my tank as the same time I built an anaerobic nitrate reactor, my nitrates were over 70 per Hanna. For first two months nothing and then my nitrates started dropping fast. I've maintained my nitrates at 4-10 since February. I'm pretty sure the reactor was colonized by this stuff because my skimate smells just like the opened bottle of the PNS(which is foul BTW) and it never did before. I dose the reactor 20mls of 3/5 ratio of vodka/vinegar daily and no slime or haze build up in the tank and my sandbed is the cleanest it's ever been.

@@edwarddoonan5253 I had a similar experience: My nitrates always ran 25 to 35-ish, so I started manually dosing some PNS ProBio daily to see what it would do. For a few weeks it looked like nothing was happening, then my nitrates started dropping fast and now I dose nitrates to maintain around 4. I think it just took a while for it to colonize my ceramic biomedia and out complete whatever was there before. I sill add some now and again but mostly as coral food since I'm pretty sure I have an ongoing population already established in the tank.

If you understand or did any research on the bacteria there is no downside except the price ;)
