It's honestly kind of hard to find a translation in English for it because it's not really a phrase for us. It's commonly translated as "eats well" but I don't really like that either. They're basically saying she's a good eater in that she's not picky, just enjoys the food, rather than being finicky about it or eating just a little bit, purely for sustenance, etc. You've probably met people who don't like a wide variety of foods and it's like, what do you even like to eat? In other words, she's not one of those people.

Eating is a big thing in Korea. A common greeting in korea is "Did you eat?" Or even when we go somewhere, they say, " I will buy you something yummy" everything is centered around food 😂 And delicious food can be found everywhere..

Gowgow G there was a video of hwasa eating grilled cow intestines once and it went viral. In Korea everyone went to go eat cow intestines so for a week, it was really difficult to get to eat cause it all ran out. (I think)

Except for Hyeri, I was always so confused when I saw how people exclaimed when seeing korean girl idols eat on television. I thought the way they were eating was normal, it's not as if they were being messy. That was until I watched a video which said that in korea females often try to appear as if they don't eat much, especially in front of men they're dating. I was all like damn.

Usually a lot of actresses and singers are very skinny, their for they are in this perception that those celebrity are in some sort of diet. However, a lot of idols do eat a lot more than most people in korea thinks because their job is to literally dance around at least 5 hours a day to prepare for their performance.

jessica gonzalvez thats not true at all., koreans love people who eat a lot., so theyre praising the girls and admiring them by saying, “they eat well” Look at Sunghoon from I Live Alone., he’s also shown multiple times eating and the hosts comment the same for him, they praise him saying he eats well. The mukbang culture of eating on film originated from korea and there are many girls who have grown famous by doing mukbangs. Thats why you can see more korean girls being shown eating deliciously in dramas, shows, movies in korean entertainment content than female celebs in western content., so sick of international fans assuming shit and acting like they know all. Ignorant af.,
