I guess there's a chance there's something wrong with the Buffalo calf and they heard just decided to leave it as animals are want to do when they sense they have a weakling including lions with lion cubs.

Should've stayed QUIET if buffalo calves had different instincts. Other mammalian calves are silent by instinct when separated from mother for a period of time.

True and if they freeze and be quiet there is chance for them not to be found (but buffalo calves are big, not sure on that grass there is anywhere he can hide 😢). Nature has rules and asks no one is he ready.

Once the hyenas start tearing it apart it will die within a minute. Hyenas kill an adult wild beast within 2 or 3 minutes from the moment they start eating it

@@levent.a.7280⁠Lions 🌈 can’t even hunt properly. In fact, buffalos kill more lions than the other way around. The videos showing lions getting gored and flying in the air are overwhelming even gored by wild beasts. This never happens to the smart mighty spotted hyenas

Where the f*** was the herd of buffalo? They come back for old Buffalo all the time and save them from lions for instance. Said they abandoned this Buffalo calf. It's possible there was something wrong with the baby.

Yes likely had a health issue, RIP little one you did a good service keeping the food chain moving along. Plant based myself no need to raise cattle for food so many healthier plant based options but in the wild it is carnivores keep herbivore populations in balance.

Scavengers are lions. Lions have the worst hunting success rate in Africa. If they didn’t scavenge they wouldn’t survive Wild dogs 80% Spotted hyenas 75% Cheetah 45-55% Leopard 30-38% Lions 20-25%
