Leopards have flexible limbs and retractable claws. Thanks to them they can wrestle and immobilize preys like warthog. Hyenas have none. Very much like a paper, scissor and stone situation.

Lone hyenas have taken on large Gnus and successfully killed them, that's a creature up to 3x it's bodyweight. What makes you think 8 cannot kill a lone warthog?

If a lone hyena is bold enough to get around a Rhinoceros and bite its gentilia there was literally nothing stopping them from destroying that hog in seconds. Hyenas are also one of the few predators that ACTIVELY hunt OTHER predators as well

The Rhino wasn't injured it was trying to eat and took the threat lightly. The gentilia isn't the only thing the hyena go for. The Hind legs or any leg at all against half a Ton of force is gone. That coupled with the hyena being more agile. If those Hyenas weren't fucking around that hog would finished

@LeopardOwnsLioness s Lions don't actively hunt other predators either and the rhino was trying to eat it wasn't injured. People have a misconception that Hyenas are cowards which they arent because they're one of the few predators that HUNT other predators

If these things were hungry that little warthog would have gotten ripped apart by more than half a ton of bite force from about 6-10 hyenas. They were fucking with thay thing. Otherwise it would have been a side snack

It has family living there which it’s likely trying to defend. The presenter mentioned them underground pipes where these warthogs live.
