And to introduce him properly, the band decided to make this over the top style video. The genre is, as already pointed out by others, Metalcore. Heavy parts mixed with melodic parts (the american Band Killswitch Engage is one of the most known Bands for this genre of Metal). Eskimo Callboy (Eskimo is the german word for the Inuit, the guys who live in parts of Alaska or Greenland) is well known in Germany for mixing electronic elements into their Songs (for this song they used kind of a sample from the Song "Maria (I like it loud)" from the german Techno Gods Scooter). This was just a big fun project for them. Make a fun song/album with the new guy, an even more funnier and goofy video.
