Today I'm starting a build that I have wanted to do ever since the truck was announced: The Vanquish Products VS4-10 Phoenix! This truck is jam-packed with features such as portal axles, brass inserts, selectable overdrive, three position dig, helical cut gears, oversized axle inserts, brass tube inserts, stainless links and so much more. I honestly don't think I've seen a spec list this long in all of my years building radio controlled trucks. The VP Phoenix comes a s a kit, which means you will need to supply your own electronics and paint up the body, but that is in my opinion a great part of the fun: the end user immediately gets to select some performance preferences and can also customize the look!

Wow I love this hobby so much cool stuff out there. I feel you nothing to mod a real builders truck. I know your cooking up something special for this gem. Somebody with intimate knowledge of the hobby had a major role in the process of this rig. Like the trx4 beautifully engineered but so many modifications to achieve something like this. Thank You H/S and of course Vanquish I will definitely be adding one to the stable.

I myself have just ordered the RTR version of the Vanquish VS4-10 Phoenix. You get so much for only 478.00 US . I’m so excited about this model. Going to recieve in two days. Previous crawlers are Element Enduro Trail Runner , Gatekeeper, Ecto , may paint a ProLine Dodge Power Wagon to use on my Phoenix RTR

Don't know if you've had a chance to run it yet but the screw in the bottom of the skid plate going into the motor mount usually ends up throwing your spur and pinion mesh off. Would suggest not running it. Also look into the shift boot mod basically take the finger tip of a nitrile glove poke a hole into it and use that as a shift boot. I've done it and haven't had any dirt or dust get into my trans.

Olive green met witte accenten zou denk wel mooi zijn. Maar het is jouw project dus je moet vooral nadenken waar je zelf de komende jaren tegen aan wilt kijken! Vorrige week toevallig 1tje in het echt gezien, en het zijn echt prachtige dingen😍

I too bought the kit at the price change. If there is one thing I will say I dislike it is the flex of the mount that operates the front overdrive. It either needs more mounting locations or should be made of aluminum. They may have engineered it as a servo saver but, personally someone into this level of RC will or should know how to set endpoints appropriately. Great video as always!

Great Review of the build! Since it's an American made rig, you should do a red, white and blue theme. It also the birth of America month too!

Great video man. Sorry I havnt commented in awhile haha. Bren watching... just on a t.v haha. I am almost done my Phoenix. Did a hobby wing axe system. Wasn't happy. So waiting in my copperhead system with the 2850 slate. So sticking with castle haha. I agree. This truck is just perfect, amd you are right on the screw ups... if something went wrong, it was your own doing haha. I had a few haha. Blind Guy RC right haha. Awesome work man. My rims are boomracing probuilds and putbull rockveast xl tires haha

Thank's for Sharing this kit and you're thoughts about it, I've not built a kit yet but am considering this one to be my First (I usually just mod and upgrade the RTR's) so for the transmission I've watched Greg's review and he mentioned something about going online for the C clips or something? Also the rod ends on his model was very loose how are they on yours? .. Suggest that you do another supreme "Hemi Storm" Paint job that will be as extreme as the Phoenix Kit 🔥🔥🔥 ✌🤠👍 HFLPRCing =Having Fun Laughing Playing and RCing 👍😎👍 AOAH =Association of Addicted Hobbiest 🙏 SSPH =Stay Safe and Play Healthy My Friend

Josh (Harley designs) works there pretty sure he had some pull in it’s development ?? He never has disclosed on eBay he does there lol as far as I know

@hemistromrc Could you please help out with how to choose the right wheelhubs vanquish offer? I have not found any schart with explanation what the figures stand for? For example, whats the difference between a 600 and 725 hu?. Thx 🙏🏼
