This game takes place after a bad ending for Sonic.Exe: Nightmare Beginning. This game takes place between NB and EoT (Eye of Three). Exetior subdued the first trio of Sonic's friends and now seeks to completely suppress the spirit of Sonic, destroying it and taking over this and other worlds.

At the moment, you only have to go to ending C (the other ending is Cream, to get it you don’t have to go to Sunky), S and S+ endings (you can only get S+ ending, because there are differences between them only after the battle with exetior), Bad ending (350 lives) and also some moments in Amy's locations and all the choices for Sally in Sacred Ruins.
