Unfortunately the hyperdrive spinup time is quite long. So blinking to dodge stuff is extremely hard if not impossible to do. Retreating is also quite useless as you can’t really repair anything. Better to invest those resources in more thrusters. Same for offence: thrusters are a more efficient solutuon. The only scenario I can think of is a teamfight where you make a short range brick of armour, scare away a slow enemy and then teleport to assist a teammate

I doubt it. Railgun shots are so extremely fast moving that I doubt the PD would be able to destroy the shot in time. Maybe though.

I don't think they can see what ships the enemy has until the game starts.
