HYPER TOUGH 4V TAKES ON THE CHAMP (Dewalt 8V Max Gyro)

You guys told me that you like this electric screwdriver, so I HAD to try it. It challenges the king, the Dewalt 8V Gyro (with a clutch). We ran a few tests in order to simulate a extremely tough load (large scale screws) and to simulate minimum power (how effective the clutch is at reducing the risk of stripping screws/ material.) The results are INTERESTING!!

Owning both of these, for RC i really like my hyper tough screwdriver. It does great for rc building and maintenance. Now, for working around the house and home repairs, the dewalt is better. But, i recommend the hyper tough for anyone wanting an electric screwdriver for rc. That with MIP bits. 👌

I love the gyro on the DeWalt. Took a few minutes to get used to but can't look back now. Hyper tough stays in the travel tool box

i was using these drill to make a fishtank stand only issue is i got the 8volt one was hoping it came in half charge sadly it came like less than 10% so it died after try to finsh the stand

I would have taken an M3 screw and a spare/broken RC part and tested the low torque setting with that setup, but for demonstrating, that the clutch of the DeWalt is better, the setup is good.

I did that off camera and realized the HT was way too strong even on the lowest setting. Figured tougher would show people how the clutch is pretty pointless. The DeWalt can be setup for pretty much any material

Thank you for the review. If you want a pen style small compact driver. The Ryobi FVD01k is nice. Great for the pit bag. At $25.00 rechargeable with 2 led lights great run time. Not sure how many drywall screws you can drive into wood. But putting together RC stuff the battery lasted all day plus some. Doesn’t have a cutch so don’t use it if you don’t have common sense.

Drywall screws showed the dramatic difference between the two. Both are plenty strong and 4v is plenty, but having a clutch that has the right adjustability is key. I appreciate the pen driver suggestion but I am now the owner of 4 electric screwdrivers for r/c so that's good for now I think haha

Hello there so i just purchased the hyper tough one from Walmart and i used it out of the box and it took care of 1 screw after that it stopped working I figured it was probably dead so i put it to charge and it changed from red to green but it wont work at all it does not want to spin do you know what might be the problem or do i have to leave it on the charger for longer. I would greatly appreciate your help

Hmmm. That is strange. Definitely give a solid charge. If not, take it back. Walmart will likely just exchange it 🤷‍♂️ wish I could help more

@@krazy4kvsrc44 i ended up returning it and getting a better bigger and surprisingly cheaper one same brand though I got the 8V one instead and it worked out amazingly
