Hypercalcemia is caused by a tumor on one or more of the parathyroid glands over 90% of the time. Primary Hyperparathyroidism can not be controlled or managed by drugs, biophosphonates, boniva, sensipar and the like, because they can not dissolve the tumor. While effective in treating menopausal women with osteoporosis and men with osteoporosis from steroid use, they will not help osteoporosis caused by high PTH from a parathyroid tumor/hyperparathyroidism. The tumor will continue to pump out PTH too strong and osteoporosis will continue. The normal range for calcium on most labs is 10.5 but they do not correct for age ranges and include children, teenagers and young adults where higher calcium is normal due to growing bones, getting taller etc. Normal calcium should not exceed 10.0 for anyone 35+. There is no such thing as a little bit high. Too high is anything over 10 if your over 35. It is not how high the number is, but how long you've had it that causes damage. If you're over 35 and your calcium is over 10, you have hyperparathyroidism and need surgery to remove a parathyroid tumor. That is the only cure. "Wait and see" is the wrong thing to do. It can not be "managed." I mean no disrespect but this is old thinking and dangerous. I am not a doctor or expert but an educated patient who just had a parathyroid tumor removed after YEARS of waiting to see if my calcium would increase or go down. It never went over 10.7 and fluctuated at 10.5 most of the time. My PTH was normal, 36. I had muscle and bone pain, irregular cardiograms and felt much older than I am.) If your calcium is high, your PTH should be very low not normal. Normal glands would/should turn off PTH. So a normal PTH result in someone with high calcium is a red flag for having a tumor. (Abnormally normal!) Please educate yourselves and go to parathyroid.com. READ. It will really help all struggling with trying to get answers in understanding and dealing with high calcium and Primary hyperparathyroidism. There is too much mis information and too many folks like myself going too long with a disease that wreaks havoc while being "watched and waited" on when the only cure is surgical! I had surgery 3 weeks ago at the Norman Parathyroid Center in Tampa Fla. They are true experts and lifesavers in my opinion and I would highly recommend calling them! I traveled from out of State and the experience was stellar! This is all they do. Drugs to manage it, waiting for higher numbers is wrong, old thinking when over 90% of the cause of high calcium is due to a tumor, Primary hyperparathyroidism! To feel and be better, you've got to get rid of it and be cured.

@ginglewis
@ginglewis 9 ай бұрын
@trisht7003 Recovery was very easy. Very small incision and I had no restrictions post surgery. It's very important to find a surgeon that is experienced in this surgery since parathyroid glands are the size of a grain of rice. That's why I traveled out of State to the Norman Center, where this sort of surgery is their specialty and all they do. I'm feeling great! Highly recommend! 🙂

A level of 10.5 is causing my T-wave to read abnormally. Mimicking myocardial ischemia. My GP left it unchecked for more that ten years. And I haven't been feeling good on years. He keeps saying it not the calcium. It also has my BP uncontrolled even with meds. I since had blood work for my parathyroid and am waiting for the results. Everything I've seen or read points to my elevated calcium level.

@@richardraymond9108 How low? Low can be good, means the K2 is doing it's job.....directing the calcium out of your blood/soft tissue and going to your bones. As long as your bone density is good (I think there is a test for that) then I think you are doing ok. I've also been taking D3 (5000 iu) and K2-MK7 (100 mcg) daily for 2 years. Hi! Thank you so much for this video. My calcium has increased by 10 pts in a month. It went from 9.2 to 10.2. I know that 10.2 is still within range, but I've never had a calcium level this high. Some possible factors: My Dr prescribed me a 50,000 IU Vitamin D I took last week. Could this have caused the spike? I DO drink coconut water pretty much every day. Also, I snack on cottage cheese pretty regularly as of late. I hope I’m not an alarmist… could these be possible causes? My BUN and BUN Creatinine are also low (5). I wonder, is this a cause??? LOL, I hate the day (years ago); my mother told me high calcium could mean cancer… my father had high calcium before he died from cancer. I think I'm being a bit hyper-vigilant, maybe.

Good video. What’s the symptoms of too much calcium in the bones and isn’t it surreal that this almost mimics sars symptoms? And depletes the same vitamins and minerals. Do you think the mRNA will work to help regulate calcium? Or help with ion peptide bonding? Because I think that’s why I get ill from working outside? But my doctor sent me for an ultra sound and said I’m fine. When I have big lumps of calcification in my neck and ears and my joints click and pop. It all started with bursitis and nerve and tendon trouble in my left shoulder. Part of me things it’s my posture or something. But my doctor is in a bit of denial as I’ve kind of told him what I think it is and he doesn’t want to confirm that the weather is causing my problem. When it’s really bad I can end up with virus like symptoms which I think is a cascade of micro nutrients and virus comes out of remission.

I was dyagnosed with high calcium in my blood. A few years ago, I had a cyst removed from my neck thyroid area, but before that I had neck spasms that shut-down my throat and could not breathe for a minute or two (my eyes would bulge. Later found-out that it's called, "Laryngospasms") It sounds like it's linked to high calcium in the blood to me. The few doctors that I went to see for this do not know why my throat closes and I can't breathe. This high calcium in the blood looks suspect- for what I hear in this video.

I am serious, do not play around with high calcium levels in the blood. High calcium levels will slowly poison your body. It will lead to all sorts of problems that will make you feel like an old man. It will also probably lead to osteoporosis. Your thyroid had four glands attached to it. These glands release chemicals to regulate calcium levels. If one or more glands develop a type of benign tumor. They will increase in size and release more chemical to signal your bones to release calcium. This is what causes high levels in your blood. I highly recommend you switch doctors if you have one that just says let's monitor your levels. They aren't coming down. You probably need a surgery to remove one or more of the affected glands. There are centers that specialize in this. It's about a 15-20 minute operation. The condition is called Hyperparathyroidism. Just to be blunt, don't phuck around with high calcium levels. Look up the symptoms. It's everything from fatigue, muscle spasms, brain fog, heart issues, to early death
