HYPERcar v SUPERcar...What actually is the difference?
Is a Lamborghini a supercar or a hypercar? What about a Bugatti? Most people can differentiate between a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Corvette and a Corolla or any other mainstream car; yet, once you start looking at the top levels of performance automobiles, the lines become blurry. Supercars? Hypercars? Megacars? It is not surprising that people use these terms interchangeably with one another. However, what precisely do we mean when we talk about Supercars, Hypercars, and Megacars, and how do these categories differ from one another?
In today's video we look at HYPERcar v SUPERcar...What actually is the difference?...Supercar vs hypercar - are they the same? No they are not, so Supercar vs hypercar - what’s the difference? Some of the difference is, a thousand dollar car v a million dollar car, or a fast car v really fast car. There is lots of different types of cars and lots of different types of supercars. What is a supercar, they are of the fastest cars in the world, but not as fast as a hypercar such as the, ssc tuatara or the, best mclaren super car. To we will do a car review of , hypercar vs supercar, hypercar vs megacar, and supercar vs hypercar vs megacar.

I think supercars are cars built for competitive top tier road car racing. For instance LM-GTE, GT3. Basically supercars are high end racecars for the road. The emphasis isn't on luxury but rather performance. On the other hand hypercars are like an arms race between car makers. They have the most power, reach the highest speeds, got the latest technology and are very luxurious. They are not necessarily meant for the track but can still perform well there. Hypercars show what a car company is capable of. Of course there are some exceptions but I think that's the general idea.

Some of the Hyper and Mega cars are more race cars than daily driver cars. The Bugatti for example is in the Hyper and Mega categories and you can daily drive it!

3:00 i personally belive it was the f1. It was absolutely mad that after it was produced it then needed the greatest hypercar companies of today, Bugatti and Koenigsegg, to get a crack at beating it.

So basically, "hypercars" are today's "supercars" and so what might be classified as a "hypercar" today will be classified as a "supercar" in the future and may be even just a regular "sportscar" in the very distant future, lol. So it's really just the timeframe. 🤔

'You raise an interesting point! While it's true that some collectors purchase these cars primarily for their rarity and value, there are still enthusiasts who enjoy driving and racing them. I believe it is their rarity that scares collectors of putting even as much as a scratch in them!

300 is not a super car lol! My old V6 2011 Camaro that I had back in the day had more than that. I would call 300 HP a base model sports car even though there are grocery getters with that power. You need to add a sports car category and have it from 300 to 599. Super car would be 600-999. Hyper Car for me would be 1000+

tbh hp is not really relevant , I would classify it with power to weight, a mega car would have a power to weight ratio of 1 to 1 or greater for example

Why is the picture choice so random? Why don't you show pictures of the cars you are talking about??? When you're talking about hypercars, don't show a base model corvette. That's a sportscar. Don't show an Aston Martin. That's a grand tourer. Show an actual hypercar like a McLaren P1 or a Koenigsegg Agera R. I'm trying very hard to be as constructive as possible with this criticism, but the randomness of the pictures has made this video utterly unwatchable for me and I can't get past 2:33.
