Hyperia has now reopened at Thorpe Park, The UK's tallest and Fastest coaster is flying again.
As we head to the park for reopening, I thought it would be worth trying out the single rider queue for the first time. As expected, the park was busy with a lot of people heading to Hyperia first, sparking a 3 hour queue on opening!
The ride is still fantastic, the speed, airtime and insane elements make it one of if not the best coaster in the UK, with everyone now able to try it once again. We talk through the procedures released by the park, and show you the new Merch which arrived the day after our last visit!

I really don’t want Hyperia to be overworking itself and the poor staff to be working silly hours. Yes we know that Hyperia is going to be a very popular ride but the staff are humans and not machines. They deserve to work sensible hours so they can finish early and get some sleep. I’m glad single rider worked well for you.

They are definitely doing it a bit lighter with earlier close and no extra park hours

@@UKThemeParks Was that one of the issues with the ride? Was Hyperia being overworked that something broke? What are your reckonings and how would you like the park to avoid a repeat?

@@lauramitchell5462 can't over work it to be honest, it's designed for total use. I would think the issue was simply a defective part

100% good to see Hyperia all up and running again, nice and good video, really enjoyed and look forward to seeing more in future. Looked busy ish, but not as much as opening day. I think real test will be in summer a.k.a August when all kids are on holidays? Especially weekends, but yeah good video, have liked & shared & look forward to more in future. 😀👍

Saw in Thopre's insta that they were limiting the amount of tickets to be sold and the queue closing time for Hyperia kinda feels like a somewhat soft opening and to prevent overworking hyperia

Yea park was nowhere near capacity today but sold out, think in the end it shut around 4pm, probably a smart move for now tbh

I did single rider first thing this morning and it got me on the first train of the day That being said, the queue was getting ridiculously long so 3rd time round I went for the main queue instead 😅

Correction: What you thought was the front-row queue is actually the Fastrack queue, the FRQ will be in the station after you go up the steps.

What's the idea of a s ingle rider queue? is it any quicker and if so what's to stop 2 people together using it

You can use it as a group, but you are batched individually on to trains and will be split. It's usually a lot quicker, 60 minutes quicker today

Let’s say you’re with a group of 4. The first of your group goes on. Once he/she is done, he/she will have to wait for the 2nd to have done the ride. BUT, there is no guarantee that the 2nd person will take ‘the next train’. Technically it could take an infinite amount of trains before the 2nd to get on. Then it all happens again for 3rd and 4th person. So re-grouping can take a long time…

Got on today (12/06) for the first time. It is an amazing experience. Still processing tbh. Staff were fantastic, energy in the park was really positive, brought way too much merch. Even met Archnemesis (although I did have a slight fanboy meltdown eek!). He was so sweet.

In fairness, baring in mind it was a situation beyond their control, i don't think Thorpe Park could've handled this any better. They were very open, with regular updates and the reopening looks as well planned as the opening day. Quite refreshing to see a major UK park do this!

Might be going in a few weeks, not because hyperias reopened just because i want to go on some rides, but i might go on it if the queue is not bad (even the thought of going down a 236ft drop is terrifying and you know, i dont want to think about that) just because of everything thats happened with it! How long did the queue take with single rider? Also does anyone know how busy the park is on a week day in june, as in is it full of school trips?

It will indeed be full of school trips In June, the benefit is they don't rock up at 9am and many don't realise the queue system

People arrive from 7, park generally let you into lake queue for around 9. If you include this in your queue you're probably getting on between 11-12. Depending on the day you visit, this would be the weekend. Today I arrived at 9.25, queued at the lake, went through single rider as I was alone, and was off the ride by 10.26. had I queued with people, it would have added 60-75 minutes. Weekdays although busy, are currently quieter than weekends

I arrived at 8:45 and only waited 5 minutes from the main hyperia entrance cause I was first in line for single rider

Thank you Today we arrived at 8am only a few people in queue Got on the ride around 1005 Then, I managed to find fastrack one shot for later Best ride I've been on in my life so far insane
