Hyperia is being FIXED?! | HUGE Update | Thorpe park

2 ай бұрынTake a look at all the latest work happening at Hyperia including engineers working at 236ft in the air with a crane lift a piece of steel rumoured to be a temporary strut to hold whatever they are working on above the track before lowering it into place! Hyperia is said to be reopening sometime this weekend (8th). Work continues in the area, with this evening the crane being taken down and looks to be ready to leave the site. No motor up there, it's at the bottom of the lift hill lol. They're working on the chain return sprockets.

The lift hill motor is on the base of the lift hill, not at the top.

its not the motor, the motor is at the bottom of the list. but deffinatly somthing to do with the chain or the gears

Lifting jig (I hear that’s not PC for some reason?) so lifting frame like you said. Used when something odd has to be lifted. Like an assembly that’s not easily strapped or rigged to lift. I’m still thinking head sprocket or sprocket assembly.

Hi Ryan thanks for the comment, always great to hear from you with so much knowledge. Could I ask what a Sprocket assembly is when compared to the main sprocket?

@@ThemeParkEnthusiast those sprockets normally are just 1 piece up there. The box around it is to catch oil. But they have some other round things that make me thing there might be some kind of mechanism inside. Like an adjuster or spring floating the sprocket. But with out super derailed up close side pictures it’s hard to tell. So I’ll say assembly just to reference whatever is up there.

I don't know about you, but that maths exam was pretty darn good. Everything was rly easy until the last 3 or 4 pages and imma be honest, I'm super happy with how it turned out! (Im doing AQA Higher Paper btw)

You know what it wasn’t bad but i made silly mistakes like not putting one of the first questions in standard form 😂 but overall decent to be fair!

I believe it is a jig that will be used to remove and replace the top chain sprocket

Looks like it's the perfect shape to fix the old sprocket to, in order to lower it down. Then fix a new sprocket to to replace it. I've absolutely no idea if that's the case, but Ryan the Ride Mechanic guessed it was the sprocket, and the shape of that jig checks out.
