Thorpe parks brand NEW ride closes once again today after the rides train ROLLED BACK, because it did not make it up the outwards bank! Hyperia has closed for today probably until engineers are able to get the train back into the station! It seems that Hyperia hasn’t gone as smoothly as Thorpe Park and Mack rides were expecting but at least we have swarm and stealth in the same park!
Hyperia will hopefully reopen tomorrow as usual!

Knew this would happen, they designed it to only just make it over the inversions. Only takes a gust of wind to stop it in it's tracks.

It’s mostly because for some stupid reason they decided to send early morning runs without water dummies aswell which doesn’t help.

@@CharlieHC I've never heard of a rollercoaster needing water dummies to make it around the track though. It should make it round with an empty train, that's how all rollercoasters are tested before opening.

@@wowftw120 the elements on the ride are designed to be taken slowly with people on it. With this they will have to sacrifice easy testing with filled water dummies or this is just going to happen, it probably would have been fine if they did a few warmups with dummies then taken them out but they should have never done the first test run without them in.

@@CharlieHC yes but it takes too much time to fill the train with water dummies every time they need to send it round for a test run. Because it needs to be tested while people are waiting in the queue sometimes.

I was at the park today 😂, absolutely bonkers. Saw the train sitting there. HOW DOES THIS EVEN HAPPEN???? There was no wind at all

It wasn’t even close to making it over that first element .. empty train or not hyperia has been running slower and slower since its opening day .. if the goal was to bring down the speed for whatever odd reason it’s not working in their favor ::

Maybe they were testing the trims after the non inverting inelmaan (idk if i spelt that right) Or it was windy? Or idk, hyperia has been running very slow recently

anoying for the park but its a normal thing that happends on coasters designed for hang time and slow elements. just shows they need to test it with a few warter dummbies and not empty

@sholingcalling I don't think that's what he was implying. He's talking about instead of running the trains without water dummies (where it will valley), instead make sure there is enough weight on the trains for that momentum.

@sholingcalling don't comment if you don't understand roller coasters. Pantheon. Kingdaka. Stealth. And many more roller coasters rollback. They do it on empty trains when it runs slow. Launch coasters have even rolled back with people on it. The reason they don't like using the dummies in the morning is becuase it slows down operations. Taking the dummies off takes a while. If they use the dummies it won't stall ever

@volcanicgames6830 yes. You see this on a lot of coasters that run "slow" with hang time elements. They don't test empty trains as they know it has risk of roll backs. They just have to do this with hyperia from now
