How did you get the controller to sync though? Mine won't work at all even when following the instruction manual.

Jessica Levy I had trouble with the wired controllers. In summary the retron 3 sucks

Are these controllers compatible with Retron5? It can't possibly be worse than the original retron 5 controllers...or are they?

It's best to use nes, snes, and sega genesis controllers

I have a similar version for this pad came.with the no licence HD genesis plays Japanese games and genesis games the pad was surprising good comfortable and responsive only issues I had after playing the pad a lot 2 years it did break down but they are not expensive to replace £5 good.value for the money I had no issues using the controller it as good as the licensed version of the button wired released in the 90s , the pad you have seems to have issues I have never experience.Mine had no logos on it whats so ever

SFC yes, FC no not without a 60 to 72 pin converter

Actually I got really lucky my controllers aren’t bad for sega genesis games it works decent but I don’t know about nes and snes games I haven’t tried it with that.

the screw is for kids to keep them from sucking on batteries since multi kids have gotton poisned and died before.

6:31 - They got the key mapping for the Genesis wrong, it's suppose to be like this: A = A B = B C = C X = X Y = Y Z = Z Instead they mapped it like this: B = A A = B C = C Y = X X = Y Z = Z Like c'mon they design the controller after the Genesis control and they still couldn't mapped the buttons correctly.

Voan Siam I agree, this is the biggest fault of the wireless controllers. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? Thankfully you can plug the original ones in.

I've had no problems using the wireless controllers. Too many people whining like babies complaining about how bad they are.

How is the range, do you have to keep them pointed at the console or do you have some wiggle room

Yeah, keep them pointed at the console. Stay at least 2-3 feet from the console. They're not that bad at all.

They have 15 feet of range but you don’t really have to point it at the console It’s kinda free movement

I seriously have never pulled something straight out of the box, brand new and it been a bigger piece of shit than these controllers. Absolutely awful. I would be ashamed to put out a product like that.
