This part was made in collaboration with Hermle and Emuge-Franken. It shows high-quality machining of a forging die made on a Hermle C 32 U using Emuge-Franken cutting tools. The material is 1.2343 - X37CrMoV5-1.
This part perfectly shows hyperMILL’s capabilities in roughing technologies like HPC and HFC and its outstanding surface quality when it comes to finishing operations. A specific highlight is the versatile 5-axis Halfpipe Machining strategy. It is suited for machining strip-shaped recesses or grooves with variable cross-sections. The range of applications goes far beyond the milling of simple geometries.
