I've compressed almost 300 hours of work in a 4 minutes video of me drawing one of my favorite writers.
This was by far the most detailed portrait I've ever realized and took me more than 3 months to finish it but I really enjoyed the process and between the first parts that I've drawn and the last I can clearly see some improvements, so it was definitely time well spent.

👏 I can’t say that I’m a fan of hyperrealism, but what you do catches like a magnet and it’s not only the magic of the work itself, but also the finale. Could you answer a few questions? - I noticed in another video (Daniel Radcliffe), in several places you, as it were, laid a rather beautiful hatching as an underpainting, and in some places you meticulously drew hairs, and then treacherously laid a dense black. Is this first layer somehow visible at the end of the work? - How much time does such a portrait take? What paper do you draw on? I dabble in charcoal a little, certainly quite crudely compared to you, but I still understand that such details are quite difficult to keep. Do you use a fixative in between? - And the last question - why do all hyperrealists conduct their work not entirely, but from a specific place, covering the space consistently? How do you manage to immediately capture the tonal relationship without subsequent edits?

Hi, thank you! 1) yes, you can see much more texture and details in real life. 2) they usually take at least 150 hours 3) I use fixative but only in the end 4) it's very hard and it took years of practice. After a while it becomes easier. (sorry it took this long to get an answer)

@@ZokArts Thank you.150 hours of painstaking work on the texture 😳! I wouldn't have survived. I would have crushed all my drawing stuff threw it out of my flat.
