Hypixel Skyblock - SECRET TRICK to do Melody Harp Quest with bad internet

This is my a little guide on a trick that is really helpful if you are trying to do the melody harp quest in hypixel skyblock. It completely removes the issues with clicking notes, and just makes life easier.
I also completed through the campfire on 300 ping, i'm insane.

If you are playing on laptop, you can hover over the wool and press your drop key(Q) instead, it works just as well

Omg, that helped a LOT. As a tip for anyone who either doesn’t have a middle mouse button, or who has a broken one (like me...), just re-map the mouse buttons in settings -> controls

Quick summary: to avoid the block you pick up when clicking the note blocking yopu from clicking another note bind your mouse 1 or whatever other button you want to use to click notes to pick block things whcih is by default mouse 3 aka scroll wheel. This helps because using the pick block fucntion counts as a clicking a note but doesnt physicaly pickup the block representing the note.

This has never been "patched" out of the game, what are you all even talking about. It is clearly intentional, seeing how in the harp GUI itself, there is a Redstone Torch with "Useful Tip!" as a name, which has a discription of this very "SECRET TRICK".

You can also use ur number keys like 1, 2, 3, or 4 it instantly goes into the hotbar and you can tap on another key immediately and if you played osu before or do play it its pretty convenient

@@davidp.9779 Basically it registers em as clicks, same happens in npc's, you can buy by clicking q or number keys, due to q droping, and numkeys adding to hotbar, dunno fully how it works, but it just does

The game registers changes to the item. Pressing any number key is an event that pulls that item to the corresponding hotbar slot. Q is an event that drops the item. So doing this, the item isn't actually being held by your pointer, so you technically still can click on other notes

It works pretty simply. If you press block in the chest with middle click for example it won't pickup the item. And in the server code they are either checking for each click type or click event in general or idk
