Hypixel is a massive Minecraft minigame server, inhabited by tens of millions of players, but it's changed quite a bit over the years. In fact, it started off 8 years ago as two friends creating adventure maps. So, how did Hypixel get to where it is today? In this episode of Minecraft Uncovered, we'll be exploring the history and evolution of Hypixel, the greatest server of all time.

As someone who has been playing on Hypixel since early July 2013, this made me feel super nostalgic and made me reminisce of the old days, such as when there were rank-specific lobbies. It is truly insane to see how far Hypixel has come, and even since the making of this video, Hypixel has only continued to see unprecedented growth, and it really makes me feel special knowing i've been a part of Hypixel for most of its existence. Anyways, personal experiences aside, great video, man. Idk how this only has 5k views, but mark my words, your channel will blow up in due time.

Great video! There are a ton of poorly-researched Hypixel history videos out there, and it's not helped by the fact that the Hypixel Wikipedia page is still a scant few paragraphs. It's nice to see someone break that mold with some good context and chronology, especially if you only joined the network in 2017. Speaking as someone who's been around since 2014, I wouldn't have made this video any other way.

If you weren't there, you wouldn't remember. When Skyblock was first introduced to the prototype lobby, EVERYONE thought it would flop. When the player count stayed at a consistent five thousand for most of the first week (3k on the second day, when I joined and 4-5k following), that's when people jumped on the bandwagon.

Hypixel now comfortably reaches 100k+ it was on 135k a few years ago, yes 135,000 over 100,000 from the 2019 player count

Im a minecraft/hypixel veteran and.... I dont play hypixel really often. Even if, its build battle (no cheaters here). Unfortunately as my main minecraft server (Hive) is closing i might return to hypixel And yes, hytale doesnt really apeal to me.
