I'm loving the tones. They may not sound quit the same but are good enough for me. I'm pretty new to the Hytera Radios. I haven't yet tried to program my new radios yet but I'd like those tones.

can this tone applied to common HT like Baofeng UV 82? i very love Hytera or Sepura tones.

In my Hytera MD785G radio, I set a sequence of 7 tones of 90 milliseconds each one. This sequence is practically identical to the one used by italian state police radios :D

hey thanks for the comment. What are the radios they use over there and what tones are they if you dont mind me asking i may do a video on them as i have an upcomming video that i would love to feature them in :)

According to me Hytera PD/MD785 DMR radios are the models with the best encryption system. Not only AES256 algorithm (optional), but up to 30 different keys to set which change at every transmission ! I work as ICT security consultant so I use encryption every day, to set VPN, HTTPS certificates and so on... I realized a video about encryption with Hytera 785, look for it on my channel. Unfortunately it's focused to italian professional users.

Hi I am lookin to get a hytera for ham use.. but I was wondering about the cps... do you have to pay to use the software? Can you shed some light on this? Thanks in advance

When the exclamation mark appears on the screen it means "The radio is in emergency state (except for silent emergency type) or an emergency call is received." ... But what does that mean can someone explain.

hello, yes similar to most uk and european radios there is an orange key on the top of the radio that is used if you have a control room/dispatch to alert that you are in a situation that is an "emergency" such as a person with a weapon moving towards you or if you have fallen from a height and cant move. this allows the dispatch to find out the situation and repond accordingly. when in emergency the radio that iniciated the call (can be programed) will open the mic so they do not need to use the PTT key.

Adam sadly not that I am aware of. I have a DP4800 and I can’t find a way.

Joe Wright hi unfortunately without looking at the CPS for the radio I wouldn't be able to say. I will have a look later and see if it is possible in software but I can't check on an actual radio as I don't own one.

What CPS are you using?

Hello, The CPS in the video is the Hytera CPS version V8.06.01.010 (the CPS is region specific NA=2 EMEA=5. this should match the radio model ie: PD785 MD782 etc)

Zachary Sadler at the moment sadly no as there is no custom implementation of alert tones in Motorola TRBO firmware that I am aware of but I only have access to Gen1 devices like the dm/DP360X range of devices
