This is a follow on from the last video in which I serviced the car. It ran perfectly at idle speed, but under load, it started to misfire and wouldn't pull very well. On investigation, the HT lead for cylinder 1 had broken during the service - it would appear that these are the original HT leads that the car left the factory with in 2008. One more trip to Euro Car Parts and £16.47 later and its all sorted. The owner of the car has commented on how well it runs and pulls in all gears, now it’s been thoroughly serviced and had the HT leads changed. As stated in the previous video, it hasn't been serviced in 41,000 miles/4 years!

Some years ago my neighbour had car trouble and then he went off to work leaving me with it, I spent hours poking around only to find the HT leads out of order... When he came home then he told me he had been messing with the leads... He used up his last favour with that one

To be fair, this was my own fault. I broke the cable, so I replaced the whole set. It’s probably the same cable set that it came out of the factory with.

Beautiful video, helped me a lot. My 1st HT cable cut, i couldn't find the whole set to match my getz 1.1 gvs. The spare shop only had the 1st cable in stock to my luck so I only replaced the first cable. Is that alright or would it mess up the engine?

Replacing that one will be fine, though I’d rather replace the complete set... that might just be my compulsion to finish a job kicking in though 🤷🏼‍♂️😅 I’m glad it helped! The whole idea of me starting this channel was to help someone do a job themselves and save a few pounds in the processes.
