😂 Yes, I once had that on my actual CV. Fortunately, it made the guy laugh, so i got that job.

I've just bought this very compressor. It will be my first ever, so have nothing to compare it with. I'm sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with yours. I've yet to take delivery of said compressor, but I'm hoping to avoid any issues. I am nut terribly technically minded, so would not attempt any repairs on my own. Fortunately, it comes with a 2 year warranty, so if it doesn't work straight out of the box, it will be going back. So far this is the only bad review I've come across of this model. I will be using it to run a couple of brad nailers, so don't need a monster, but decided against the 8 ltr Hyundai because the larger 24l, on paper anyway, will be capable of more. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to share.

It’s incredibly poorly manufactured. Absolute trash. However I imagine that if it works okay out of the box it’ll be fine until it breaks. It’s impossible to repair. Bigger is always better with compressors. Only problem is the size of the the things. Might be better with battery or gas powered nailers.

Well, I've actually taken delivery of the Hyundai compressor and been using it with a 30 quid brad nailer. Fortunately, it did just work straight out of the box. I powered it up, let it fill, and left for the day to make sure it wasn't leaking. After 6 hours the pressure hadn't dropped, so I went ahead and loaded the nailer. I should add that you get nothing but the compressor in the box. I had to buy a hose, the nailer and a quickfit coupler. All in it came to around £200. Apropos the cordless options, I come from a shopfitting background, so do own several first and second fix battery/gas nailers. Trouble is, they are huge, clunky things, the gas isn't too fond of the cold, is expensive, and has a short shelf life. I'm also after a 23g headless pinner. Again, the battery versions are expensive and bulky. Anyway, hopefully I get a couple of years out of it. Cheers

I misread your reply as: “I come from a shoplifting background!” 😊 - I agree about air tools being compact and lightweight. I have a small Senco compressor, but it’s far to small. 0.5 litre portable unit. Looks cool. Totally impractical! L
