This is a Review and walk around to the light system of Hyundai Elite i20. This same system is there on i20 Active. In this video, I have a Hyundai Elite i20 Asta Optional 2016 model.

Shreyansh, Thanks for your inputs. Well there are two problems in that. First I do not have any Dolby sound recorder so you will not get a good feel of music. Second I will face copyright issues if I put a video with any song playing for 5 or more seconds.

Nice video! Hyundai cars are always feature rich, yes ECM is missing in this top end spec, I think its mainly because the rear camera is connected to the music system unlike the rear view mirror of the ECM.

Hi Gagan, i like your videos and I keep watching them. I have a question for you.. I got same car as yours (Elite i20 asta option 2017 model) and the headlight assembly catches moisture inside on the border line of both the lights and they appear foggy. Have you faced such an issue with your car? Please reply how this is to be tackled?

Hey brother your detailed reviews are really helpful. I got my i20 elite asta (o) with Dec offer at ₹ 732000. I think it's a great deal. I'm quite happy with the car and it's features. As of now there is no issue but is there ambience lighting in this car? One more thing I found that the fan keeps running even if you press the off button on the ac panel. Air keeps coming out of the vents but the console shows it off. Can you please enlighten a bit ?

I have the sportz version. The sensor on the dash works for both, ACC and auto headlamps, but they don't provide with auto headlamps. Can I somehow get the the auto headlamps, by replacing steering stalk or something else maybe?

Thanks for the review. I always wondered why Hyundai made only one reverse lamp. Strange its for cost cutting. One more Question for you: Have you wondered what are the white trims on the top of head lamp for?

That is just a design element buddy, I think. And it's actually a rule in Europe to give at least one reverse lamp. So I think they provide only one for Indian units too.

Dear Gagan, can you tell me whether the passenger side and rear power window switch backlit illumination is working or not in the night? hey bro i want to ask one thing that in ur video of lighting system u have said that by keeping key in ur pockets we can open door by pressing button on driver door & we also see that the mirror get unfolded automatically when we go near the car so my questions to u is this same happen that when we go near the car the mirror get unfolded automatically in sportz (o) model which is now production of that model is stopped

Since the sportz model already having DRL with its fog lamp..Does the projector lamp assembly comes with in built DRL?? If it is so...them it will look odd with two DRL...

Bro, i have alto k10 , so upgrading into i20. I dnt care what other cars are giving, its definitely bttr option from previous car right?? Alto mileage 24 and i20 22 aprox, Bt last thing , i have heard brk are nt up to mark, i didnt had any problems with k10 brks, so are these bttr than that one??

Hi, I just bought i20 active s varient.(petrol). I had 2-3 questions to ask. 1) when i turn on the engine, and put the beams on off mode, the drl are switched on. ( as they start when engine is on). But when i put the lights on dim mode, nothing happens, just the interior lighting gets swtiched on (like of controls on steering and other button). I dont see any dim lights, so do the drls work as low beam lights? and when i put it on high beam, projector lights come on along with the drl which is fine. 2) my steering doesnt have a menu button, because i have a S varient. So can i not control the DID settings like controlling the locking of doors and all?

The one mode where you are getting only DRL is parking mode. Low beam is by default on when you on the headlamps. High beam comes when you push the steering stalk down after switching the Projectors lights on.

A very nice informative video. Helped me a lot to understand some things out there. :) I also want to know two more things. first of all I'm planning to buy Elite i20 Asta (o) petrol and will book it on 15th or 20th July. So my question is 1. What does LED DRLs do rather then switching on all the day and night ? I mean I have heard that those are also blinkers. but didn't find any video about blinkers. If they blink then in what condition they blink etc etc. 2. which color is the most eye catching ? I personally like the stardust color must but I've not seen any 2016 model of i20 till now with my naked eyes. Just seen them in videos. So that's really difficult to choose without seeing them personally :( . Guide me in this section plz. Thanks ( Soham Dutta )

Thanks for your words mate. Well I don't think they can blink in any conditions. You might twitch and play aftermarket things on it and make it blink but Hyundai do not give that kind of function. DRLs though have two mode. Moderate mode and power mode. They remain on moderate mode (Less Bright) when engine is off and when headlight is on. They remain on Power mode when Engine is on and Its Day and also when Headlight switch is on park mode. Coming to color. I believe that Phantom Black will look most sexy. But I never saw that in person. I have seen that in i20 Active and it was outstanding. Stardust was my choice because it was the only color which every age group will like and was sexier than White. If you are young and love vibrant things, Go with red. But if you want everyone out there to say that color is good, go with Stardust. All the best for your car. If any doubt you can ask me anytime.

What I was saying about blinkers that in some videos about i20 active, I have found sometimes those DRLs are blinking. looks like a flow of light. but not a single video I've found any description about it. as an example watch this video. search "i20 active car dekho" and you will find two videos generally. one called expert review and another called know your car... In expert review, t = 2:00 watch properly then you'll notice those DRLs are blinking . even there are many examples of blinking DRLs in that video, I've mentioned just one (2:00) . I am actually confused bcoz there is no description in anywhere about that thing. Is that a solo property of i20 active or something else ? If possible then help me with that. Thanks
