The Hyundai Santa Fe is aimed at families who need to fit a couple more people than the usual four passengers, or anyone who regularly lugs around lots of things. The Santa Fe is one of the best options on the market if it's maximum space and seven seats your looking for.
Originally the Hyundai Santa Fe was available exclusively as a diesel, however, times have changed and Hyundai has now part-electrified the Santa Fe with a couple of hybrid petrol engines completing the range. There's a regular 'self-charging' hybrid (HEV) and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The HEV offers better fuel economy and lower emissions than a traditional petrol engine would, while the PHEV has a battery pack that can be charged up by plugging it into the mains, allowing pure electric motoring for up to 36 miles.
The Hyundai Santa Fe is a great alternative to the increasing number of other large SUVs on the market. Thanks to a very stylish exterior, a superbly comfortable as well as a lavishly-equipped interior, the Hyundai Santa Fe has had an impressive mid-life revamp. Premium rivals such as the Land Rover Discovery Sport, the Skoda Kodiaq, Peugeot 5008, Kia Sorento and Nissan X-Trail, will all be looking over their shoulders.
