Symptoms of a clogged cabin air filter are most commonly loss of air flow from air conditioner or heater. A clogged filter can commonly cause bad odors in the cabin.

Very useful video for my 2004 Santa Fe . . . actually the best video I found. I am a woman in my 60s and if I can change out my cabin filters for the first time, anyone can! In the 2004, there is a small-caliber, black elastic cord on the outer, right side of the glove box. One must first open the Velcro tab that secures the cord and then reach into the glove box, realign the plastic tab attached to the elastic cord, and slide it through the slot opening in the glove box to release the elastic cord. Agree that the trickiest part is compressing the glove box enough to release the tabs that hold it in place. To my surprise, when I opened the filter covers . . . THERE WERE NO FILTERS! I am the original owner and have only had it serviced at the local dealership, so . . . It now has new filters. And I am a happy camper! Thanks for empowering me!

I just changed out the filters on my 04 Santa Fe, between this video and another one I watched after this one, it was fairly easy except getting past the tabs that hold the glove compartment in place. The other video helped me with that. Thumbs up to you and thanks.

This was helpful on my new/used 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe. The previous own was a smoker and never ever change those filters.

Good job getting it done! Sometimes changing these filter make a huge difference. In high humidity areas they get moist and trap smells. In the dry areas the filters get clogged with dust and air particles causing a huge air restriction. Good job getting it done! 👏👍💪

It calls for the same part number. Open your glove box and see if it looks similar. If it doesn't let me know.

Would this effect the air and heat not to blow

It can cause restricted air from the blower to the cabin. What is your symptoms? Can you get any air? Does the air pump work?

@@ScottiesHobbies No air blowing at all hot or cold. AC compressor making weird noise. I think its the compressor. I check the cabin filter. No leaks condensor.
