Lots more to show and talk about after the wrap reveal video. I had to take off my headliner and fix 2 disconnected tubes so more on that later.

Definitely feel a lot better that almost every problem that I’m finding in mine has been solved in these videos definitely making me feel more confident when figuring out what to fix and/or do to the car next

Great video as always! When I replaced the sunroof seal, I used that rubber adhesive I've talked to you about. But the funniest thing is, my new sunroof seal is so tight, that whenever I open the sunroof, I have to physically push up on it for it to open. LOL It's also been awhile since I've opened the sunroof after fixing the leaks, so I'm scared to open the sunroof at all... May just leave it shut for eternity, idk. XD Super hyped to see the car post-wrap!

Yah I can’t believe I didn’t trust my gut on adding the sealant to it 😩 should have researched it more. Mine opens fine I just have to smoosh the seal back into the channel everytime I close it lol I know the sunroof is meant to let in a bit of water so maybe either way doesn’t make a difference I guess time will tell. You gotta open that sunroof it’s like the best part 😂😩

Love how your Tiburon is turning out! I got an 06 black GT that I’ve been working on. Needs repainted, rust repair and a few other odds/ends. Had a resonator delete to make it sound more aggressive and with a brand new set of headlight assemblies it looks the part!

You’re very welcome! I almost forgot that I had some underglow put in it as well! Had a shop do the wheel wells and underbody while I did the interior at home.

I lost it at the falling plate xD For the tear in the sunroof seal, superglue works surprisingly well for small tears like that if you do it right Good luck!

Love the updates. Over the past week I have been fixing some major rust-outs on my 05 Tib, getting it prepped for a respray. A few things: Where did you get the eyelids? They look like they have form and aren’t the typical vinyl-cut method. Also, you interested in selling those side skirts? I’m getting the Tib painted white, then adding black accents (skirts, rims, fender gill) and I would assume the body shape is nearly the same between the two models.

Thanks! Nice that’s going to make a huge difference 🙌🏼 eyelids are from NIA they’re fiberglass but they’re disconnected. I link in my first video some eBay copies but then need more work to be able to bed with the light better. I’m going to be selling the old skirts only problem is I’m in Canada so shipping might be expensive to the US

The 4cyls are definitely better on gas than the v6. I get about 19-20mpg on my v6. If you drive it hard you’ll go through gas pretty quick although it’s a small tank so it’s not very expensive to fill up, costs me about the same as my Mazda 3 would for a full tank

First of all, that is still a beautiful car; it's rare to see one of these in such good condition. Second, about the door handles.. yeah, wrapping might be the easier option. I bought new unpainted handle assemblies for both doors. They're a little fiddly to get together and installed, yes, but not impossible. I'd say painting them right is a lot harder, managed to get some slight runs on mine the first time around, and they've been in the parts bin waiting for a re-do ever since. Mine is *still* in my garage, half-assembled, as I'm trying to work with my buddy on getting the rocker panels fixed. Poorly applied seam sealer and a design flaw with the fender liners led to ingress of several kilos of very fine dust, which retained moisture and rotted out part of the rockers. Granted, mine is at almost 300 000 km on the odometer, but I'd suggest to anyone owning one of these cars to loosen the fender liners and check that you don't have any weird buildup under there...

Yikes that’s good to know about the fenders 😭I’ve seen some light surface rust on the underside of my rockers but I really don’t want to investigate further lol fender liners is interesting although personally my wheel wells have no sign of rust yet so I’m hoping I’m just in the clear 😂😭 I rust proof it too so I’m trusting that. But thanks appreciate it! I did complete wrapping the door handles and they’re not perfect but they do the job and match the paint decently close so I’d call that a w 😂

@@theliltibby you may be one of the lucky ones, especially given how clean the car looks. :) Surface rust can always be sanded off and repainted. In my case I can only blame myself for buying a cheapo clunker despite seeing some bubbling paint on the rear quarter panel and thinking "meh it's fine it's just one quick patch." It never is.

@@peterjohnson9438oh for sure, definitely something you learn from experience and I always warn people about, if you can see it there’s always more and whoever had it previously wasn’t taking caste of it in that and probably many other ways

plate falling got me dead 😅, i finally got the oem wheels (painted gloss black ofc), way better than my old bbs rs ones, i just need spacers, idk which spacers would be good though, idk if the car can handle 20mm spacers, i think that would make the rims flush with the body, any tips?

Yah I’m a bit stuck with the spacers as well. I know a lot of people run 20mm on both but I’ve also heard 15mm can work in the fronts with 20s in the back. I don’t think they would be flush flush but definitely close enough. The other concern is the safety factor of running 20mm I’ve heard mixed opinions

@@theliltibby i've got 10mm in the front and nothing in the back and i can say 10mm is definetly enough for fronts, if you try the 15mm or 20mm do make a vid on it please 😅

Too much 😂 depends tho if your in the states or elsewhere, you can probably get most of the stuff I have in the states for like 3k US. Headlights are like 600, coils are 1k aero are all 100-200$, eyelids you can get for under 100. Inserts are pricey and so is the interior so depends what you want and what shipping is like. It’s really the shipping and conversion rates that can double the prices

Yo i love your hyundai tiburon, im 16 years old and i just got a blue 07 hyundai tiburon, i use you as a refrerence/inspiration to help me out with my car, do you have any suggestions i should buy for my tiburon? Im lookin for a carplay radio but i aint got no clue on which one to buy cause there so many, also what are the headlight covers called that you have for your tiburon

Appreciate it 😄 glad It can inspire you! With the radios it’s a get what you pay for situation. I’d get the best one you can for a price that isn’t too wild for you. They can easily go up over 500$. Kenwood, Alpine and pioneer are all good systems, if you go cheaper then make sure you research reviews on quality and longevity. I’d also recommend one with hard buttons for volume rather than full touch screen since it can we a pain to use volume on a touch

The eyelids are NIA design but you can find some decent copies on eBay-linked in my very first video but they require some harder work to get them to stay on the headlight. You’ll need to sand the corners to make them slightly thinner to be able to bend and stay down

EBay is your easiest bet you just have to paint them and be careful with them since they’re reproductions
