You can, but LPG in direct injection engines is kinda expensive.

My 1.6l 150hp Ford Focus does 8.0l/100km. I would say that 8.3l is a very good fuel consumption for this type of car with petrol engine

If you look at a Vw Tiguan, this not dooing much better. If you think about it, buying a suv and then asking it to be fuel efficient... my new Tucson Hev is dooing 5.4/100 on avarage. This is much better if you ask me.

@@Rob-rg7ix Tucson hybrid has good numbers in some unrealistic conditions. In real life it uses 9l/100km on the highway at 120km/h and 11l/100km at 140km/h. It does pretty well in the city though (due to the hybrid system). And we're talking about a much cheaper version withous HEV system, which has similar numbers as above on the highway but it uses about 9l/100km in the city. These are higher numbers than Tiguan 2.0 TSI which is much faster. Not to mention 1.5 TSI which uses 1-2l/100k less in all conditions.

@@sic22l That 1.6 tgdi isnt made for consumption,just learn what you buy and drive and for what needs.While toyota,yes,it has a better fuel economy,their engine performance isnt on par with hyunday.This 1.6 tgdi hybrid is made for power and somewhat jack of all trades.The engine is refined,it accelerates good,no harsh sounds,but because laws of physics cant be broken it must have a trade-consumption and still the consumption is decent,not good not bad for a suv with 1800kg and 4x4.While in toyota,yes the engine might be a little more reliable and good on consumption,it doesnt offer the same performance and driving experience.You just compare 2 engines that do different things.Wolkswagen has hit and miss engines,some good some bad,they have good fool economy with different techs on them which sometimes make them unreliable.Dont forget how they werecaught lying about consume,dieselgate,but german engines when they work and tell the truth,yes they are a beast.All in all,1.6 is still a decent consume engine with good performance as hyundai refined this engine being in use so many years.If this doesnt fit your needs just look for other engine as its hard to find a good fuel consumption engine with good performance and reliability maybe impossible,its just a matter of needs as long the engine is pretty reliable.

@@ElDotore651 1.6 tgdi isn't decent with consumption, it has one of the highest fuel consumption in its class. It's bad. And since it's the only engine available in the new Tucson (at least in Europe) it makes the entire model expensive to run. About reliability - 1.6 tgdi isn't plagued by the engine failures but the dual clutch transmission it's paired with it's one of the most unreliable ones out there - it can die after less than 50k km.

This is just mild hybrid. Real hybrid, also called HEV does not have manual gaarbox and it has better milage. Apples and oranges.

@@pojemario yeah but it costs a lot more, you need to drive a lot of miles to make up for the price difference and then some to be worth buying.

Well, take a look in bottom right corner - 97km - this car has just left the showroom. Moreover, 13.3 is accumulated consumption, you don't know how much time the engine was running on neutral. I own 1.6T DCT MHEV and my avg. consumption is 7.3 (50% city, 50% outside, aircon still on)

I want to by a 7 dct of this engine did a test drive and came back 8.1, i think the automatic consumes a bit more if i get a average of 8 i would be happy😛 still i do 130 km to my work single Almost all highway, you think the consumption would be fine?
