Honda Civic was in Econ mode throughout. The green leaf logo shows that. Econ mode makes hell lot of a difference in initial grunt.

Yes, Eco mode basically dulls immediate throttle response to save fuel consumption. Even when shifter is in S mode, it will be fairly dull with throttle inputs. Ideally the eco should turn itself off automatically in S, but that’s the way the Civic is. I too have this one, so I know.

@@MuditSehgal no it will not turn off automatically even if you put in S, you need to undo the eco mode manually, I'm a mechanic at Honda servicing center so I think i knows about more than you....

@@xaraprimex4669 That's what I said I think. I said IDEALLY it should turn ECON off in Sports mode, but it doesn't. The throttle response therefore remains dull even in Sports mode if ECON is not turned off Manually.

Bro, VERNA won because tatti civic crossed VERNA after 150 KMPH and in drag races the maximum speed is 135. So, VERNA is the clear winner Pratham is a Honda fanboy that's why he is appreciating Civic so much

If it was Diesel Civic instead of petrol then, it would have won the race very easily... I'm telling this for sure as I have experienced both Civic... Diesel Civic (2019) performs very well as compared to Petrol... Civic is my favorite car...

the are not same category cars...main difference is engine type: Diesel engine always produce greater pickup as respect to petrol because of high compression ratio which greater in diesel engine so and petrol engine produce maximum top speed...so if you need top speed you should go with petrol engine and for pickup choose diesel engine...still there are various factors...but this is the most dominant factor

@@danisharshad1354 no they are not my friend. They are well gated and provide a different grunt and torque on each gear change. Even you feel jerks when shifting like in a Torque converter. It gives life to the engine on a different level.

@@Vsk-xd8nc I was talking about engines their at first But after the guy asked me to drive Hyundai I should have compared Verna too coz I also test drove that But still Nothing beats city in its comfort and performance in lower gears And i was always a JDM guy that was also a reason I wanted a honda or toyota but toyota didn't had any sedans so I I chose wheather Hyundai Verna or honda city
