This route definitely is worth going to and serves as a shortcut to get to Columbus Ohio, There are a couople of Costco stores close by as well. Very unique highway here with the express lanes.

Cleveland has more than plenty of suburbs. Lol The Cleveland suburbs stretch all the way down to the Akron-Canton area.

I lived in Cleveland, born and raised, I'm so old that I remember when I-271, I-480, western I-90, I-77 from Independence on south and I-490 were built

I was on I-271 South back in 2013 and was heading home to Mansfield from Lyndhurst (on Mayfield Rd.) and was stuck in traffic during PM Rush Hour on the local lanes as soon as I got on I-271. Was also listening to the Cleveland Browns preseason game on the radio too while stuck in traffic, IN CLEVELAND! lol

When I hit Cleveland in 2017, I used I-80 (the turnpike) to I-271 to get around Cleveland (OH 8 was used to get to 271) and back to I-90. Road destruction was prevalent at the time. Express lanes without restriction or tolls. Wotta concept! And there aren't too many loop routes with rest areas. And a few craters along the route; what one would expect up there.

My cousin, who I just saw this afternoon, lived about 2 minutes away from the end of the video. She's still in the general area, but not quite so close to 71 or 271.

That northern stretch of I-271 is relatively unique in that the express lanes are not tolled and allow usage by trucks. Also: Lighting manufacturer: How much high mast lighting are you looking to purchase? Ohio DOT: Um....all of it

Yeah, ODOT loves to light up our freeways pretty nicely. In fact, US-30 in Mansfield didn't have much lighting at night before they completely redone the freeway. Now, it's a light show all the way from OH-309 to Fifth Ave. Pretty cool.

@MileageMike... overall how do You rate the condition of the roads around Cleveland as compared to other roads around your midWest travels... I have not been to Cleveland yet (it is eventually on my cross country planner on route 6 and or route 20) ... i have only been through Akron and it was horrific to put it bluntly
