படம் முதல் வாரமே பார்த்தேன்.காரணம் குண படத்தின் பாடல் மற்றும் குண குகை.படத்தை பொறுத்தவரையில் 10 நண்பர்கள் கொடைக்கானல் போறாங்க ,குண குகைக்குள் ஒருவர் ஆழமான பள்ளத்தில் விழுந்துடுறார்.அவர் எப்படி காப்பாற்ற படுறாரு?.இது தான் கதை. ஆனா குண படத்தின் பாடலும்,கமல் சார் குரலில் ஒழிக்கும் கனமணி அன்போடு காதலன் எழுதும் கடிதம் என்ற சத்தமே திரை அரங்கத்தில் கைதட்டல்,விசில்கள் பறக்குது.மற்றபடி படத்திலே பாடலோ,சண்டை காட்சிகளோ,பஞ்ச் டைலாக் இல்லை.படத்தில் அடுத்து என்ன நடக்கும் என்ற திகில்,மற்றும் குண குகை,குண பாடல்,கமல் சார் குரல் இது தான் படத்தின் பிளஸ்.

Dedication? Watch Guna movie 's cameraman Venu's interview. He says Kamal was mad to produce Guna with little facilities and sets. So, Kamal and team entered the Cave to shoot it - not in sets with safety gears. That's what dedication.

Excellent review of the film from a person who knows the nuances of film making- thanks a lot.The success of the film especially in Tamil Nadu is because of a similar film made way back in '91,partial usage of Tamil dialogues & of course Ilayaraja's hit music inserted in crucial moments.This clearly shows that there is no need for a big budgeted films with top actors at the helm.I hope this film will make way for some more excellent films in Tamil in the days to come.

கண்டிப்பாக. குணா குகை மற்றும் இளையராஜா பாடல், மேலும் கதைக்களம் தமிழ் நாடு என்பதால் எளிதாக பப்ளிசிட்டி கிடைத்ததை, தமிழ் மக்களின் ஆர்வத்தை தூண்டியதை, மறுக்க முடியாது. சினிமா பார்ப்பவர்களை தியேட்டருக்கு வரச் செய்யும் அளவிற்கு போட்டியாக எந்த படமும் இல்லை என்பதும் ஒரு காரணம். குணா வந்த போது போட்டி அதிகம். மேலும் சைகோ காதல், கடத்தல் கொஞ்சம் யதார்த்தத்தை மீறியது என்பதால் மக்களை ரொம்பவும் கவரவில்லை. ஆனால் மஞ்சுமெல் ... யதார்த்தமான கதை. இதனால் ஒரு எதிர்மறை விளைவு என்னவெனில் கட்டுப்பாடு இல்லாத சுற்றுலா இளைஞர்கள் குணா குகையின் பாதுகாப்பு வளையத்தை மீறி நடப்பார்கள். நேர்மறை விளைவு கொடைக்கானலில் 2024 கோடை சுறறுலா களை கட்டும்.

Correct Sir.. Always the entrepreneur producer ' s are the fulcrum around which any project gets its life.. Tamil film industry esp led by Kamal sir has always experimented with subjects.. But somehow at present only money matters.. When values of film making is compromised for money values, invariably the audience connect is lost.. I am very happy for the theatres in Tamilnadu and Kerala.. Ultimately Cinema is mass experience.. Not to be confined to ones home screen..I am sure more honest efforts will happen in Tamil film industry based on this success.. All the best 🙏

Nicely explained. .. I have a point to make here... Superb movie... If this movie is taken in tamil with top most heros... (only my imaginations)... 1. One of the police officer will be a female and a top heroine. 2. One lady actor will go into the cave. Along with the rescuers. in that scenario.. there will be a love song (at least in imagination.. but that shooting will be in a foreign country..) 3. There would be a King cobra (more than the size of worlds longest ever documented one), a cunning Indian Krait, worlds biggest scorpions , a Python which is bigger than the one in amazon rain forest, another one called black mamba (worlds most poisonous snake but dont live in indian peninsula.. yet it will be there inside) next, even they will go to an extinct of featuring a baby dianosor there inside and surprisingly the hero will fight everyone single handly (leave it to ur imaginations) 4. Finally another hopless song once they successfully pulled out of the cave.. Atleast now value audiences... hopless tamil actors and directors.. When a family of 4 come to theatre they spend nearly 2 thousand rupees (tickets, parking, snaks, etc).. It should not be to see a person of Low BMI thrashing and hitting 50-100 people in 5 min without any weapons... have some common sence when taking movies dear tamil directors and actors... to be honest u r the one forcing people to watch in OTT platforms. Atleast now give importance to story and not to an individual... With this movie its very clear... The story is the real hero....

இந்த படம் தொழில்நுட்ப ரீதியாக பெரிய அளவில் எடுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தாலும் முழுப்படமும் மலையாளத்தில் இருந்திருந்தால் தமிழ்நாட்டில் இந்த படம் ஓடியிருக்காது....மொழிமாற்றம் செய்த பிறகு ஓரளவு ஓடியிருக்கலாம்....இது மலையாளிகளால் எடுக்கப்பட்ட தமிழ்படம் என்கிற உனர்வுதான் இந்த படத்தின் வெற்றிக்கு காரணம்... அந்த உனர்வை 90 % கொடுத்தது கண்மணி அன்போடு காதலன் என்ற பாடல்தான்.......

Even Guna movie is a failure. This movie teaches us Team Work, Resilience, Sacrifice, Friendship, Faith. Above all everyone is a Hero including Audiences on seeing the movie. One of the best movie I've ever seen.

Nice observations and criticism. I accepted that A. Vekitesh Anna. I'm from Kerala , I love Tamil movies too. You just think that what happed to Sembi, chitta , Super delux, etc? Still 80% of Tamil audiences are not in the track. I hope soon Tamil industries will come over Malayalam industry. Too many realistic directors are there . But audience not supporting .. You can compare Malayalam & Tamil movies but don't think that Tamil industries can't do that. I think within 3-4 years Tamil industry will overcome this. Now this booming will give confidence to the Tamil directors..

The film is a success because of its creativity and content as most Malayalam films are unique and excellent storylines. Thamils Audiences are not used to watching Malayalam Movies and understand the format.People have been watching other language movies on OTT for the last few years and tastes and experiences are changing.That is the reason why Thamil cinema is struggling most of the time for the last few years with delivering a flawless movie and not connected to reality Your comment that this film is a success due to Kamalahasan, and Guna song makes not an accurate observation.kudos to the great story telling of Malayalam film makers. No Tamil mass hero or director will take on this lines and make such perfect film out of it. இந்த படத்திறணை சிறுமை படத்தாதீர்கள். தமிழ் சினிமாவை முதளில மாற்றி யோசி்க்க சொல்லவும். குணா பாட்டு இடம்பெற்றது கதைக்கு அவசியமானதால் . Credit should go to where it belongs. Let’s be honest.
