You can definitely tell a lot of players either haven't activated that memory bubble that became available after the aetherium wars event, or did and simply didn't pay attention. But yeah, it confirmed Sampo and Giovanni are masked fools, and that Sampo is actually really not a fan of Sparkle's because of how she "can't read the room" and how, because of this, she takes jokes too far to the point where they cause trouble. "As this trouble builds, what was once funny becomes.....no longer fun. ...If I could, I would never speak to her again."

Sampo’s VA REALLY likes to play with his voice every time he appears. I honestly love it tbh.

We knew Sampo was a masked fool since he complimented the Elway Tavern in 1.0 main story. However, it is good this is finally having direct implications to the main story after so long.

I loved this quest! Also Sampo showed up to be even more of a cool guy than i thought.

I actually realized something when I watched this again. The lines from Black Swan and Sparkle near the end there, the “Memokeeper, do you think you can just leave” and “My dream dance partner” are from those illusions of them when we first started the main story in Penacony, when we are in the Dreamscape with Acheron. Those exchanges all the Companion Missions.

In the pokemon event Giovanni talked with Sampo in a side place, and they talked about why Sampo left the masked fools and stayed in Belebog. So we knew Sampo was a masked fool for MONTHS

This quest has so much foreshadowing , its nuts !

Like I keep telling people, the reason Sampo wants his mask back is because he's seen all the jokes about getting benched for black swan and is secretly getting ready for his 5-star version.

Still convinced Misha is the watchmakers Grandson. There's a BIG emphasis both on Misha's pocketwatch and on the fact that his Grandfather was a traveler. Firefly thinks the Watchmaker was a Nameless. Then there's the idea of Misha and our running mystery of the floating text searching for "Mihkail". That similarity in name. Is so very likely intentional.

As random as it is, this Companion Quest actually has so much depth in it. The last riddle about *Closed Room Murder Case* , it might actually foreshadowing the future. Black Swan said that Closed Room Murder need a reason, but for these case: She has seen that there's no one to frame, there's also no delay on finding Sparkle's Body, and lastly it also didn't look like suicide. She also said that: If it's really a Closed Room Murder, detective and her assistant should have kept neutral. yet the assistant rushed into the scene and confirming her death, destroying the crime scene. So she conclude that the murderer is her own assistant Sampo. It turns out, that's not correct. Sampo reveals the real answer actually is Sparkle faking her death and the assistant, him, is her accomplish. *[Might Be Spoiler]* If we put these Closed Room Murder case into main story line, you can think around that FIREFLY could be the Sparkle, which means she's faking her own death. Her death is rushed (as many viewer feel), because it needs to be no delay, must not like suicide, and no one to frame (as the Trailbrazer, Acheron, Black Swan witness). Question is, if FIREFLY is the Sparkle on Closed Room Murder case, then who is the assistant or her accomplish? I previously thought that Black Swan, or Acheron, or Sparkle, or Aventurine is her accomplish but, now I thought we might be her accomplish, involuntarily. That might be reason why she ask us and getting close with her. With that, everything will comes naturally, we are the first one to 'confirm' she is dead, we are 'witnessing' it's not suicide. We didn't need to put an act of her death. The Best accomplish. Then the second question is, to whom she intended her death to be witnessed? My best guess is, to the Watchmaker and the Family. FIREFLY is from Irish Family, she is native to Penacony, so she might know everything that is wrong and fraud in Penacony. To dethrone the Watchmaker & Family, she needs to faking her death so she can freely get through her plan and dragging us into the unavoidable battle or revenge to them. Why these could possibly true, remember the first time we fight monster 'Something Unto Death', it shown on the cutscene that FIREFLY seems holding back her power. She grip her hand, no fear on her eyes. Got her body strangled yet show hesitation instead of scared. It seems she's covering something. Another proof is, how could Sunday know that FIREFLY is dead. What business does she did to him, he even also calls her as a stowaway. That means, she is not reguler people. Does no one question, why she is not in our dreamscape the first time around after we wrap? How could she enters or know how to get back to the Real Dreamscape? What her deal? It looks like she just waiting for us to witnessing her fake death.

Aha the Elation and the Masked Fools are probably the best God and the best group of people Hoyo created so far in their games, a literal group of trolls that knows how to break 4th walls, are actually aware they are in a game and you can't trust them because you knew that trusting them is a death sentence.

oh wow i havent done these companion quests so i was pretty confused at what was happening. good to know like Genshin story quests these companion quests give lots of context and character developments.

Yo fr this quest made me lowkey terrified of Black Swan. She can snatch away your memories just....like that. No flashy technique, no fanfare, not even the courtesy of a Thanos snap. Just. Gone. And while she makes it clear she's not a fan of doing so, it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that if push comes to shove she won't do it again-possibly permanently.

Remember when the Memokeeper who opens the Memory of Chaos on the Astral Express showed up with her miniquest? And they mentioned that there are Memokeepers capable of literally stealing memories instead of having to bargain for them? Yeah, that was relevant.

Did the voice actress of Sparkle do all the side "characters" in the quest xD? It would make it even more funny for her the character.

Black Swan legit gave me chills when she used her power at the end. Geez, the music too. That was creepy.

It's really interesting that sampo us referred to as mr cold feet in the museum event and this companion quest, I bet it could've been his masked fool alias. I hope we eventually get a banner for sampo as a masked fool

Also, Dr. Ratio called ‘Aventurine’ a peacock, which something that only two of them would’ve heard. However, when Aventurine meets Sparkle, she keeps calling him a peacock, just like Dr. Ratio did

don't get me wrong, but I personally kinda not a fan this kind character like Sparkle since she's not considered others feeling.

Even tho i can understand why people enjoyed this quest i just couldn't enjoy it and kinda made me dislike sparkle a bit more. Maybe its cause i was kinds disappointed version 2.0 cause they repeated the tingyun situation again so have a bad taste in my mouth or cause im not too keen on star rails type of humor and i kinda liked the small glimpses of her in the main story whilst this was just idk like black swan but just a bratty attention seeker but just taken a bit too far. But to me main problem like luchoa we dont even really interact with the characters again.
