When my mom bought her Lane hope chest from the lane store the baby lane chest was given as part of the deal if you bought. Hello dear Danni, I don’t think that the Lane chest is a salesman sample. When I was a Senior in High School sometime before graduation Lane Company would give Senior girls a small chest just like the one you bought. Local furniture stores would have their names on the inside so the girls would know where we could buy our hope chests, or as we called them, hopeless chests. ❤️ Judith

The Lane Cedar Chest were given to Graduating Seniors . The local stores names were embossed . I have mine . I love it.

Yes! Each girl in our high school graduating class (class of 1955) was given one by the local furniture store. I still have mine--have used it for jewelry.

My oldest sister received one upon her graduation in 1969. The rest of graduating later did not. So, it was a tradition some time back, but not anymore.

My mom graduated around 1937 and all the women got a miniature Lane Cedar chest when they graduated from high school. My mom said Lane gave them to the girls hoping (no pun intended) they would choose Lane for their full sized Hope chest. My mom did buy a lane cedar chest and I have both the miniature and full sized one that belonged to her. My dad used to tease me and call the Hope chest my “God Knows When Box”😊

I got one of the Lane boxes as a graduation gift in the 1980s from a local furniture store. They gave out a redeemable coupon to all the graduating girls. You did have to pick up the box at the store. I think they also included a Lane brochure with it.

Good finds and fun shopping. Really pretty trays, boxes, and things offered. I liked the kitty bunny cup, but I'm a cat lover. Love the hanging glass fruit, crocheted/macrame corn, any music box, art work, ABC/123 sampler (I'm a retired educator), and Western enamel wear plates. Glad someone remembered to tell you about can holders. You can also hack $Store filing bins for your DPepper cans in fridge. Your room is pretty, and so is your lamp WITHOUT the shade. Put a few birds on the branches and place it next to your desk. Catherine

Taylor & Ng is a great brand!!! Love the naughty mugs..hehe So glad tyo hear you will have people over to assist in organizing your place!! The claddagh trivet is sweet. You are doing great conditioning yourself to be selective about what you are picking up; so proud of you Danni!! Wow, I'm at the part where you said somebody wished you would shut up😲😲😲all "they" have to do is mute you and continue watching the video..geeze!! That is very very disrespectful. I think those Star Wars items would have been a great gift for Will...IMHO. Your lighting was just fine, not too bright. The furniture companies used to give seniors the Lanes as a graduation gift..not anymore..bleh. This is what Tiffany does at the end of her store buys. Great Video!!!

The Lane Cedar Box was given free by our local high end furniture store to graduating girls from the 1950s until sometime in the early 70s. I missed getting mine so my husband found one in a thrift store and purchased it for me. By the way those metal plates can become extremely hot so it is best to use them with cold food.

The Lane cedar chests used to be a gift to every graduating girl (I don't think the guys got them) from a furniture store. They were hoping the girl would buy a full size Lane cedar chest. I received my big Lane cedar chest when I was 12 in 1964. We called them "hope chests" back then and filled them with pretty things we would use in our first home. I still have mine, but unfortunately we used it for a coffee table when the kids were ypung, so it needs refinishing. Enjoy watching you shop! Vegas has the best thrift stores. 😊

Danni I was surprised to see you bringing thrift store items back to your new house. I thought the plan would be that severything you purchase for sale goes directly to your own section ot the Good Stuff Store to be sorted, listed and shipped or for the store. And your new home would stay clear of any clutter; keeping in mind it's even smaller than your last home. We do love to see Bougie! Teach him to say "Make it Fun"

That silver piece is a trio of Irish Claddagh's. The Heart represents Love, The Crown represents Loyalty, and the Hands represent Friendship. I have a Claddagh ring. That piece is a great find...I love it...I love all things Irish. Do you ever pick up any Belleek?

Loved all again. Stuff i LOVED :sand art thing, the 2 mice looking things, mice the kitchen, cedar box, pink thunder bird planter, baby Yoda, the star wars things, all of the owls. OMG! OMG! Pack your bags, get a UHaul and go straight to Michigan. They have a 150 mile yard sale! And the prices! They are almost giving things away. I am interested in things I can upgrade for sale and I nearly lost my mind watching today's Flea Market Rescue. There are vintage and antiques for the taking. You probably know all about this, but I just learned and am in awe.

Thank you for your videos-very educational for us resellers just starting out. I would have checked out the rooster plate around 22:16 and the stein at 24:24. The German stein looked especially valuable, there’s a few brands that style that are quite expensive.

The Lane cedar mini chest was given out to graduating girls in the 60's and 70's, It was so they would purchase a "Hope Chest" from that particular furniture company. Growing up then, a lot of us had a Hope Chest that we would fill with items for either marriage or living on our own. We had a dish set, glasses, linens and such. I still have mine and it has a key.

Yes I received one lane chest, upon my graduation May-1967. The whole idea was for girls to be enticed to purchase a hope chest, I also got a bone China dove, to sample sets of China.
