@@ThisIsMego Exactly. I once recorded myself going down. I thought I was going fast enough to have a nice video. When I saw the footage of it I was laughing and crying at the same time - what the hell was I doing there, was I sleeping ? I blamed it on "gopro effect". After this video I know it's not that .. it's just I suck a bit more than I thought. :)

Unreal. It's the tiniest margins too, the racing is so tight and the performance levels so high. Troy (and Loic) are amongst the very best and most consistent racers out there, and with awesome personalities and tons of respect for their fellow racers.
Exactly! How is that even possible?? The rock garden at that pace is insane!! Amazing!!😱😱😱
@alexjohnson64622 жыл бұрын
Even if only four-tenths of a second, I can't even comprehend how anyone could go downhill faster than that. It seems like something which is on the very edge of human capability.
@Nonexistanthuman2 жыл бұрын
Really did look like these 2 riders were riding at the limits of this course.
@justjazz7842 жыл бұрын
thats whats impressive about peak-level anything is that they're pushing the potential of the human form in highly specialized tasks to it's absolute capacity. here its split second decision making, balance, bike handling, etc. Incredibly impressive. I get the same feeling when I watch people like Peter Sagan race, or two great football teams going against each other. As I've grown older I've really started to appreciate the masters at work while they're at work.

Good question! Im curious to hear his answer on this!
@tecmalo68572 жыл бұрын
Be no means I’m a pro, or even close to be able to come alive down those rock gardens at a quarter of the speed, but while rewatching some of my videos, I realized, that it looks shakier, than it feels. The eyes are quiet good in focusing on the „important“ stuff and so much gets blurred out in these intense parts. Still I can’t wrap my head around, how it is possible to drive like this 😧
@suitinaute2 жыл бұрын
@Tec Malo I was wondering if the camera technology has advanced so much that it is now able to see the rock garden (at speed) better than the human eye. Re thinking my original question, I'm guessing Troy's focus is a long way down the track at that speed, and he wouldn't be picking up anything directly in front of him apart from possibly feeling a couple of the bigger rocks. I can't get my head around it either. Superhuman.
