Last year on my birthday, I had turned 22, I was heading home in an Uber with friends after a night drinking. I remember singing this song all day. Right before I got into my Uber, I was intoxicated, singing/shouting "I am a baby in my universe, I'll live forever....OOOOOO I'm only 22, I'LL LIVE FOREVER!" About 20 minutes later, we were on the highway, our Uber was totaled. A woman had crashed into our Uber, she was going 140+ km/h+ and had fallen asleep on the wheel. Her car hit the back door where I was sitting. My door flew open. Emergency services showed up. The firefighter asked me if I was okay, I told him I was completely fine, not one scratch. My neck was banged up again, but nothing crazy. He was in disbelief because he said I should have been either dead or really hurt from this crash. My 23rd birthday is in 2 days and Daniel Johnston just passed away. I don't think I would have been alive after that accident if I didn't sing this beautiful song. His rawness and honest songwriting made me believe I would live forever that night. Thank you Daniel Johnston and Rest In Peace. Your music will live forever.
