I agree it’s an absolute awesome build and idea!!! But I do question the tree selection!!! But that cooking and swimming in the creek looks just so relaxing!!!!
@bonniehall5784 ай бұрын
I questioned the tree selection, also. It looked like a pine to me but hopefully it is not.

Well if it was alive its definitely not gonna be for to long. Personally I'd have just smoothed out what I needed to with a chisel rather than removing the bark which usually kills the tree. Theres a lot of info on tree houses online I used to build the one for my boys. Now they have literally their own treetop house when they get older since right now they are 3 and one. But my goal is to eventually have rainwater catches for water and currently I'm setting up power from lithium batteries charged by the cheapest solar panels I could find. Honestly I wish I'd have built this in the woods somewhere instead of in the large trees in our back yard because honestly I could make it easily big enough for the 4 of us. If my wife would let me...

Since the tree house is on the trail it is obviously open for all to use that is nice.
@leecowell81654 ай бұрын
They can spray the bare wood with non-toxic paint designed for this but that tree already looks dead to me. I would have chosen a live tree and not removed so much bark along with painting all exposed bare wood after the build.
@thomassohayda33754 ай бұрын
I would've picked a live tree and not used lag bolts or screwed the piss out of it so it would last a lot longer than the 5 years or less that this one is gonna last, but to each their own. Very entertaining video, thanks for it.

The investment of hard work, time, and money cannot outweigh the fleeting lifespan of the dying tree. Living in the house poses a constant risk to one's life, as every minute spent inside jeopardizes personal safety.😢

Its nice and cozy up there but will it be safe always?Its a dead tree and there will come a time that layers might loosen up so you have to be observant all the time each step you make to prevent catastrophic accidents which might cause your being a cripple for life or your death. Just be careful and be safe.Enjoy your labor.

I would not choose to build my structure in a death trap that could fall over at any minute. Just the act of clearing off the bark with an axe could bring a widowmaker down on your head, not to mention jumping up and down on the steps to check the sturdiness each time. Good building skills though. I hope all goes well.
