For the people who don’t get the lore and/or White Lily’s character, I made a very long explanation and analysis. (The Literature student in me couldn’t resist.) Scroll to the very bottom for short summary. From what I can tell from this video, White Lily seems to have been in some sort of coma or unconscious state. This is likely because she fell into the Ultimate Dough and most of her consciousness was reincarnated into her “evil” form Dark Enchantress Cookie. However, the part of her that is pure and good is trapped in the glass coffin shown, and she’s trying to gather her essence to stay awake for as long as possible. She needs “life powder” to escape, so she can only remain in the coffin if no one else sacrifices themself. Faerie King did make the necessary sacrifice, thankfully, and she’s escaped with the intent of repenting for her sins as her alter ego, Dark Enchantress. Then, it’s revealed that an even darker and more dangerous force has awakened: Shadow Milk Cookie, the first Fallen Hero and Pute Vanilla’s counterpart. Seems like the Fallen Heroes are all counterparts to the Ancients. The Ancients and the Fallen Heroes have the same essence (Truth, Happiness, etc) but things went awry some time along the way, turning them evil. Looking deeper into it, White Lily is a good example of “same goal, different choices, different story”. She is my favorite Ancient because the conflict happens internally and not externally. Basically, she’s fighting another version of herself. And the interesting part is, it shows that anything can be “good” or “evil”. You could also say that she’s a morally gray character who could go either way, and this created 2 personas: White Lily and Dark Enchantress. You ever read an “Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence” fanfic? This is exactly what happened. Both of them want to seek the truth. It is only the actions they took (and will take) that differ, and what makes them so different from each other. It is why White Lily’s soul split into two. White Lily wants to seek the truth to help Cookiekind, while Dark Enchantress has gone rogue in her quest for the truth, believing that Cookies are made to be eaten. It’s noted that this destroyed her character fundamentally, and is ultimately what turned her evil. I like to think that she was the reason behind her downfall, not the Ultimate Dough. I’m honestly impressed that a Cookie gacha game has such intricate lore. Looking forward to this update a lot, the 3 year wait was worth it. :) TL:DR: White Lily is in a glass coffin and needs Life Powder to get out. Faerie King sacrifices himself. Evil awakens in the tree as Faerie King’s magic is no longer active: aka Shadow Milk Cookie, first of the Fallen Heroes in the preview.

Yes, Shadow Milk! I knew from the moment we saw him, he’d have some sort of villainous effects, but now I’m more than certain that he, along with all the other old ancient hero’s and Dark Enchantress Cookie, would be the next big bads! Though, I’m surprised to see him so soon. I thought for sure he’d be the last old ancient we met, given his tower is in the center of the land, but this is a major twist i couldn’t have expected. Can’t wait to see what this trickster and all the other cookie have in store!

I just thought it may go in reverse order or something, like first M.Flour, then S.Salt, B.Spice, E.Sugar, and lastly S.Milk, like looping around the continent, the foreboding tower in the center, where I believe S.Milk would reign, standing as the last area, and him having acted like the second big bad throughout everything. In hindsight, S.Milk first is best now that I typed this out. Regardless, I’m already more than excited for this update! Wonder if S.Milk’s va is gonna be too heh

Basically, when white Lily cookie went to seek the truth in the tower of chaos, she saw the witches eating cookies and discovered the awful truth. In such s panic she didn’t see where she was going and fell into the ultimate dough. My 2 headcanons Headcanon 1 If White Lily came back normally and regrets, she may can’t spend time with PV and other ancients again like before, but she just can have a small or short talk with them or they have only a nodding acquaintance. After then, White Lily will tell to ancient that she is going to leave them for a while and travel all around Earthbread for picking and cleaning all mess everywhere by her since Dark Flour war with her remorse. Headcanon 2 As White Lily became Dark Enchantress once, and she owned her own influence of her friend or family like faithful 5 cookies below her, she cannot give up her throne of this satisfying life. Therefore, Dark Enchantress cookie will throw PV and Gingerbrave squads into the trap as uses her ability of illusion of her past appearance, as like as she has done before the world exploration 8-30.

I didn’t understand half the lore here, but I’m hella hyped for White Lily and Silver Bell Cookie! Also in the cookie screen when they lvl up, you can see next to the toppings something new (at approximately 0:34) I wonder what that is 👀. Also I wonder if Beast Yeast is a separate story mode that you can do even without completing story mode, because I’m still stuck at Smoked Cheese Cookie boss 🥲

This explains why the Milk Tribe was at the Dark Cacao Kingdom. The manipulative Shadow Milk Cookie sent the Shadow Milk Kingdom warriors to do battle with Dark Cacao's finest. That backfired spectacularly, with the Licorice Tribe caught in the middle of this feud.

Ok I look at Shadow Milk Cookie and a part of me thinks Pure Vanilla Cookie own heart will be tested just out of the fear that one day he and the other ancient heroes could possibly end up like Shadow Milk Cookie and others before them considering what happened to White Lily Cookie. Just the slightest hint of fear would make Pure Vanilla Cookie anxiety go through the roof by the thought of that happening. Honestly I think Shadow Milk Cookie and probably others evil ancients will join Dark Enchantress Cookie in the war to come.

I'm excited about the 3rd anniversary update but oh crumbs, level 80 cap ? Looks like I'll need to get ready to grind more xp jellies and upgrade more houses. We need more star jelly concentrates that instant upgrade a cookie to level 50/60/70 without the need of star jellies.

We still need the means to obtain the Lv80 Star Jelly concetrate, though! At least, we're finally here! Beast-Yeast. Cool to see White Lily Cookie become playable. So does this mean that Dark Enchantress is going to be her darkness given physical form from now on?
