How will the player know which weapon to craft? I think it needs to be an interesting decision with multiple valid options, so each weapon combination needs to be optimal for some case. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gMWhhJpn1Nu7iH0.html

Yes exactly, I want each weapon to specialize in a specific field which should allow players to match the weapons to how they want to play. Different weapons will be ideal for different jobs, although all should get the job done.
