Megatron is easily my favorite Cybertronian... With my favorite incarnations being Bayverse Megatron from the first three movies. And my second favorite being a tie between the Transformers Prime and Transformers Animated Megatrons.

I wish they make a movie that Decepticons actually fulfill there tast to rebuilt Cybertron

What some people don’t know is that is some of the continuities, megatron wasn’t always the tyrant everyone knows he is in most media, in fact he tried to change cybertron by having the caste system, think of it as capitalism on steroids, abolished and to have cybertronians with the right to vote and basically freedom, but this was prevented from the council of primes who turned to Orion pax, pre-optimus, and made him prime instead of megatron. Overall megatron was sorta a good guy for having all of cybertron having freedom, no matter their alt mode, but as many who have tasted power, he fell from grace and became the megatron most would love to hate.

I haven’t really watched any of the newer films, but, there should be a plot twist/development where the Decepticons are actually rebels against the oppressive Council, who are using the Primes to crush the freedom fighters. It’d add moral complexity to the ‘red eye bad, blue eye good’.

Megatron was so hesitant and struggled to ensure that his people would have their own rights to be treat it as equal to end the caste system. His words of prosperity and liberty was inspired by an archivist who he wished to share his words and helped to seek the council to give them liberty and power. However, Megatron's visions was so cruel and unjustified that the council would never give him the power that tarnished their reputation as an intellectual race, but the archivist needed that all people to be civilized and equal as one. The council were astonished the archivist's words of wisdom and peace that made Megatron so angered and betrayed by the one who he considered the archivist as his brother. The archivist was appointed by the council to become as Optimus Prime. This is why Megatron had developed a deep hatred towards Optimus over million years that spark a war which it doomed Cybertron forever.

You know what I've never realised until now? How the bumblebee movie went back on G1 designs, like starscream, you cn tell its him because of his build and the yellow on his front, and ofc the wings.

Before The war on cybertron, optimus (or Orion Pax at that time) was best friend with megatron (or megatronus at that time) to the point where they were practically brothers until they parted ways at the start of the war bumble bee met optimus during an early time of war and have fought together since, which is why he calls him an old friend.

Megatron'd backstory is the best way you could turn "Push the wrong people far enough, and they'll snap" into physical media. A gladiator, revered in the Pits of Kaon after slaving away in the Cybertronian Mines; who grew tired of the corrupt Rich vs Poor landscape they lived it. Orion Pax may have become a Prime, but Megatronus became a leader. Was what he did right? Absolutely not. But was he responsible for the War? Absolutely not. It takes two to tango. Yin and Yang. "You and your beast would do well to remember... I HONED MY SKILLS IN THE PITS OF KAON!"
