I remember all the way back with Lady, you tried the “copy” thing with a masterpiece and discovered it didn’t give you the same value. And now, a new Bigwallet matriarch, several generations later, tried the same trick. Hahaha.

For the missing grave issue, I recommend Ravasheens "it's all grave-y" mod. All you need to do is buy a gravestone from B&B and then select a sim to attach to it.

One thing to note for Rye with the Comedian Career is that you should Write Routines and then go and perform them at busy lots (Del Sol Valley lounge for example) Then you get tipped by people - makes up for the less days

I find that really adorable that Sydney is in the Bigwallet burial site despite coming into the family by marriage. He’s always a part of Reginald’s life despite their relationship not working out. I wish we could have got a nice reconciling moment between them. They both went on to have amazing lives with good families.

Something I've noticed (that I think has always happened) is Sims like to be near other Sims. If they grab a meal, or do their homework, like at 21:48, they will go sit in a room with other Sims. Problem is, that includes if those Sims are sleeping. I give my kid Sims a desk in their room to do homework and then they go sit in sleeping Sim's room like Willow did. Or the kids are sleeping and I send a parent to grab leftovers and rather than sit at the dining table, they sit on the end of a kid's bed. It's frustrating.

There’s a mod where you can grab a tombstone for any person that has died. I believe it’s by Little Miss Sam if you get it, you should be able to get Ava‘s tombstone to put in the cemetery. 25:49

Maybe you can have them be like Bed & Breakfast owners since they will have a lot of young kids and won't have much time to work. Can use the stayovers feature to act as people coming to stay for awhile and then give yourself an appropriate amount of simoleons to house and feed them during their stay. Can make an upstairs space for guests.

After watching some Simsie shenanigans, much has been learned about sims urn/grave spawning locations! The primary spawn point is right inside the entrance of the house. Secondary spawn point is a corner of the lot. This corner varies from lot to lot, but it seems to be the corner a mailbox will spawn in if you move into a bulldozed version of the lot.

You could move the family you kicked out of the new house lot into this house and then do a video redecorsting furnishings it for them so they are back in the world and you don't have to feel like you evicted them and left them everytime you see the kids in this LP 😂😂

The screens on the windows are kind of like fly screens, they are very popular in Florida, but they are basically used in like screened in porches so you can be outside getting sunlight and allowing fresh air in but keeping bugs and leaves out.

OMG ive been so obsessed with this series im so hype 🎉 Also, it makes sense that sims gets glitches because its such a big game. Its just disappointing because it rarely gets FIXED. especially expansion packs... (Looks at wedding stories and get to work) I am certain its not the devs fault. Its EA thats demanding things be churned out ASAP. :(

I know people were like super upset with the world that came with growing together but as someone from the Bay Area I really love the style and it makes me happy to see my home represented in a game that I love. I think the Rec center is super cute and fits perfectly

I saw a comment a couple videos ago about making clubs to manage meeting family and various playdates and I agree.

LittleMsSam has a mod I think it’s called Release all Ghosts. It lets you summon urns of sims who have die. That would let you get any headstones for sims you are missing

There's a mod out there that lets you get an urn for any sim in the world so long as you know them. It might help to get Ava's grave back if you want it.

I know its the sims but the thought of basketball being played next to the greenhouse gives me anxiety!

For the “window screen,” (or “screened in window,”) in the US, the screen (regular mesh for flies, etc) would be fitted into the outside of the window and attached, so that’s why the open window still has the screen. New windows for things like a greenhouse or screened in porch are fitted so the glass and screen can be removed or interchanged or have both on at the same time, and still open by sliding or pushing out (using a crank…at least at our house.)

The dead skeletal cowplant in your cottage living house should go to the Bigwallet cemetery, even if just because it would look cool. I would have also keep the Bigfoot toy that they grew up with in their contacts.

Suggestion for the new house: You could make a basement and have it be a living space and bedroom combo with it's own bathroom for Rye. It's similar to what happened to Joey on Full House. You could even try to recreate Joey's Bedroom that was converted from the garage, if you wanted to. Either that or Rye could live in the treehouse you plan to built. If you need treehouse inspiration try searching Treehouse Masters in the images search of Google. Treehouse Masters was a TV program that aired in the US.

You can queue a whole bunch painting on Digital pad before your sims start paint the first one

I feel at a point in this episode James actually went in the gamer equivalent of Full Parent Mode! Between Sidney's death and the second time at the Rec Center with the house falling apart. 😂

When will Semaj learn that needs levels affect painting value, and making them paint while tired is worth way less money than letting them sleep and painting more when needs are high again.

16:50 the basketball hoop is not only good for the fitness skill but also to get rid of any sad moodlet (specially the one about death) in a few minutes with the "practice dribbling" action

Monster lights help children by preventing the monster, but for toddlers, you need the thinking skill or lullaby radio or I think read to sleep, to prevent nightmares.

For the screens on the window: in America, lots of windows are glass with a screen on the outside for when you open it since weather varies and bugs and stuff!!

FYI, James, since you can't take a picture of the house you could always get your sim to paint the house by bringing her easel over and choosing "paint from reference". Could have been a cool addition

Hi! If you get everyone earbuds (kids and up) and just turn it on to a radio station it’ll keep their fun up and playing chess with another person gets their social up. It helps me with large families 😊

You should age up the Cottage Living family and move Hazel, Trenton & their kids into the old house in San Sequoia. Maybe Nina & Angus could go for a stayover if you play that family.

You probably know but in case you don't know, you can upgrade the treehouse to have lights, a slide and a pole to slide down... you can also change decorations on the outside of it to match the different kinds of play pretend they can do, also lock the treehouse doors for a few new things. one thing I do wish they would had added but didn't was the ability to upgrade bikes to have training wheels. Just makes so much sense.

You can queue paintings on the tablet as long as she hasn't started one yet. I pause the game and then fill the queue or set it up while my Sim is doing something else (like eating). Makes it go a little faster.

Hey James, I know you said you recorded this earlier so you haven’t seen the comments from the last part but I’m reposting my comment just in case! So I just wanted to help clear two things up. 1) You mentioned that you might want to make the household bigger (with MC Command Center) but were unsure because of some ’glitches’ with the feature. Now, I’m pretty sure these ’glitches’ you’re talking about is sims getting deleted when you enter CAS with households bigger than 8 sims. This isn’t a bug/glitch and isn’t something that can be ’fixed’. The game is coded to only have an 8 sim UI in CAS and no modder can fix that. It’s just the way the game is built unfortunately. BUT, using the mod correct and opening up CAS through the MCCC menu bypasses this problem by only opening up CAS for the selected sim and not the entire household. 2) Also, just a heads up. I noticed you use Organized debug/Better BuildBuy now and with that you’re not supposed to type the cheats in the cheat console (moveobjects/showhiddenobjects/showliveeditobjects/ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement). Instead, you activate them under the tabs ’Content’ and ’Better BuildBuy’ :)

Your sims look just fine James! I don’t think they were affected. The glitch made only one of my sims cross eyed 😭 I didn’t cry but wanted to lol but everything seems to be back to normal for me now though.

I’d love to see a separate video where you renovate this house fully as if they still lived here instead of moving. I’d love to see what you’d come up with as there is so much potential!

hey James! just fyi, Ravasheen has a mod called "Photographic Memory" that lets you generate objects like polaroids, calendars, and paintings from photos in live mode. these objects shouldn't bug out from being in the inventory and are all name-able. just letting you know in case you wanted to do that in-game rather than manually through Photoshop

I have gotten into the habit of building a garage and driveway for my Sims houses and I just stick Debug Cars or my Sims Bikes in the Garage area. One of my houses has a Basketball hoop on the garage. I do have the mod that gives Sims Passports and Bus Passes too.

Loved when the mailman just randomly strolled past the house ahaha
