I am a New Zealander, of Highland clearances descent. The only reason my ancestors came here was because of that. This song pulls me every each way. I can hear the words, and put the vision of New Zealand in its place. It makes the hair on the back of my neck, stand up. I see my great grandparents, sail away, never to return.

I'm French but not entery and more Spanish but i don't know how percents for Each. I stay for holidays in Skye Island and in Highlands and i think that i'm more Scottish than French. I don't explain why but it's real.

This takes my breath away! I didn't realize there were lyrics to Highland Cathedral; they are perfectly suited to the thoughtful melody. Scottish patriotism, music and architecture have a permanent home in my heart.

This version is so beautiful. I didn't realise there were words to this wonderful music. I was married at the end of January when my husband was diagnosed with a brain tumour and this carries such memories, as Highland Cathedral was played as we left the church. Thank you, Andy.

I am proud we Germans could give something beautiful to Scotland. Hope it will become your Anthem. It just simply fits your Country. Such a beautiful Country. I love Scotland. My best friend is Scottish and I live in the US. I miss Europe so much but I am stuck here in this God forsaken country.

This song was sung today, ANZAC Day in Australia, at Anzac Cove, Turkey, where thousands of Aussies died at Gallipoli. The song really touched my heart for all that they sacrificed for our freedom. I had an Uncle who was there. Thank you Will.

This melody was composed in 1982 by germans musicians Ulrich Roever and Michael Korb for a highlands games in Germany, the Music bring to all our tears!!! What a Feeling!! Thanks to the Autors for this wonderful gift ;) The Music bring us a really Union between countries😉

OK, I am Swiss, showing the plus but this is one of the most powerful melodies I know fitting perfectly the pure nature it has written for. Definitely a valuable candidate as the NA for wonderful Scotland. Can listen at it every moment!

There are no "official" lyrics to this tune. They were added later, some are more well known than others but they are not HIGHLAND CATHEDRAL, highland cathedral is the tune written for the bagpipes when a highland games was being held in some part of germany. As much as i love these lyrics, they were not part of the compostion of this song. Meaning any lyrics you find are just parodies amd remixes per se
