Congratulations! You can do it, because I quit after 25 years of smoking. It was the hardest personal thing I’ve done and you can do it, too. Nicotine addiction is awful, but you CAN punch it in the head! 😊 I wanted to share with you that chewing gum helped me tremendously. If I wasn’t sleeping I was chewing gum. I hope it helps a bit. Also, your body is already in the process of healing and you don’t wanted to undo that. That thinking helped me. When you get through this hardest part you will feel so happy! I’ll be thinking of you and send 0:14 you good wishes from Michigan, USA. Your son has inherited your talent! His box is magnificent! You must stay healthy to watch his talent grow and enjoy your life and family. All the best to you! ❤

Me and a number of my fellow soldiers were trying to quit and we turned to flavored sun flower seeds. You put a handful in your mouth and work the meat out of the shell! It was quite the scene seeing a bunch of army soldiers spitting out sunflower shells like chipmunks!

Fabulous news, Eva! I’m a former smoker. Two of the best things about not smoking is better health (especially clearer lungs!) and NOT STINKING!! Your creative juices are flowing again; loved the story of your friend thinking you needed medical intervention for your crafting 😂

Great job! It’s not easy. I’ve quit three times in my life; five years, seven years, three years. I’m smoking again and I’m so disappointed in myself. You’ve inspired me to (consider) to try again. ❤

I coughed up stuff for about a month really, drink a lot of water, keep your hands busy I quit on July 3rd of 2019 it's one day at a time I know it sounds cliche but just make up your mind when you get up in the morning I'm not smoking a cigarette today. Stay strong right now don't worry about gaining weight or eating just don't smoke anything my very best wishes to you

Omgosh Eva, I’m so proud of you, this is a very hard habit to break but I know you can do it!!! I have almost made it through a 60yr long sugar and junk food addiction and it’s amazing how much better I feel. It’s been over a year and I have failed at it a lot but I keep trying and am getting better. Addiction of any kind is hard to break but I know we can do it! Xoxo 😊😊😊

Congrats, Eva! It took me many times before I could completely break with the habit. I am 10+ years a non-smoker now. The most important lesson I’ve learned in my journey has been to give myself a break. Every time I tried and then slipped, I would beat myself up about it. It was only after I decided to think of it as a journey that would have ups and downs, did I find the strength to complete the trek to a fuller pocketbook and better health. I wish you all the best on your journey and I thank you for being public and forthcoming about the struggle😊

Congrats on quitting smoking!!!❤❤❤. I quit, too. One week so far. I started again after not smoking for several decades, after a lot of stress. I remember, back when I quit the first time, that 3 weeks was my success benchmark. It takes 3 weeks to create a new habit. IT IS SO HARD! But…more time to craft! More money for supplies! Yay! I’m cleaning like a maniac, too. Thank you for the encouragement! If you have a sauna at the gym, try it. Great way to get rid of toxins. Keep up the good work! I love your channel!

Congratulations, Eva, on quitting smoking. I quit in 2003 after 20 yrs of smoking. The thing that helped me was replacing my thinking with learning to pray the rosary. I prayed for each person or situation on each bead when I couldn't remember my standard rosary prayer. As long as I was reciting a memorized prayer, poem, or quote and using my fingers to count on the beads I wasn't thinking about smoking. The thought and urge to smoke would leave after a few minutes. I, especially, focused on using this technique during my usual/habitual time to smoke (like after meals, driving, stressful times). You don't have to pray. As long as you are using the technique it will help. I hope you find this useful. Also, the Serenity Prayer works. ~Terri 😊

Congratulations on two weeks. It is difficult to quit but you can do it. It took me several tries until one day I threw my cigarettes away and never looked back. It was very easy the last time … no withdrawals, no cravings no relapses. That was 38 years ago. Jacob’s box is beautiful. He is very talented just like his mother. ❤️

Congratulations on stopping smoking !!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 I stopped in January 2021. No patches or a anything. I had smoked for 47 years. Just keep going. If you fail just start again I only "failed" once I bought a pack (after 3 months of no smoking) I lit up and it made me sick!! I laid the pack and a lighter on a table in our patio area at the apartment complex I live in. Love watching you!!

Good for you Eva !!!! Try not to think of not accomplishing what you set out to do, as a failure. They are just steps in the process. Best of luck, dear Eva. =) It's possible your breathing issue is anxiety related. You might be focusing too much on worrying about 'failing'. That's why it would be helpful to eliminate the word 'fail' out of your vocabulary. The fact that you keep trying is positive...so focus on the positive.

Congratulation Eva, I know exactly what you are talking about. As someone said “ quitting is easy, did it so many times” but in reality fighting bad habits is very challenging, difficult and even painful. I often felt irritated and physically exhausted. What was helpful for me was drinking or rather sipping water every time I felt that I need my cigarette. Also, I always asked my Guardian Angel to redirect my thoughts about the need of smoking. I believe keeping the hands busy is the key. And remember you can do it! I will pray for you to stay strong. May God bless you Eva, all the best !

How amazing after all this time you found the courage to quit smoking. It is they say harder than quitting heroin. I don't know about that because I never taken heroin but I know about smoking and it took me an hour a year to quit and then I would keep cheating whenever I was around my family. But finally after having pneumonia I was able to quit. Bless your heart for this hard work. Blessings and hugs from New Mexico

I'm so proud of you! I will be quit for 10 yrs on October 17, and only wish I'd done it sooner. I also developed lung problems after I quit, I think it came from no longer inhaling as deeply as I had been doing. The irony is that a year later a cold medicine 'burned' my lungs so now I have permanent breathing problems. 😄 What a wonderful journal! And your bag of treasures made me itch to work on something! I will definitely look for skybambi but I've followed Jose Naranja for a while, he makes my jaw drop just like you do😄with your talent and skill. So nice that you passed all of that on to your sons, dear Eva. It was nice to see you again!

Comment number two: Thank you so much for sharing such sweet messages to us! This video was posted 4 months ago and I will try to find out how you are now. I just want you to know that after I quit smoking I became a runner and a cyclist and many other things that I don’t think that I could have done while smoking. I don’t remember having breathing problems but I did need to keep telling myself to continue not smoking. I finally felt like I was healthier, and didn’t smell, and could fit in with more people and places and I didn’t need to stop and go smoke etc. etc. It’s just a so much better and easier way to live and of course you will live longer too! I have a boy too and I would not like to die and leave him just because I didn’t stop smoking. I wish you all the best. Thank you for telling us not to give up! If you run into hard times please keep trying because now you have a million friends who want the best for you and want you to succeed!! Donna 💕💕💕

I just found you and your channel and I feel like I found my crafting soul sister! I love your teaching style and especially your style of crafting! I can totally relate to all the stuff (junk) you found in your envelope. I was asking myself the other day why I hang on to all the little tidbits that don't get used and bam, there you are doing the same thing looking at all the goodies in an envelope and loving it for your next project. Hang in there with the withdrawal symptoms from smoking. They will go away. I quit smoking many years ago and used to crave cigarettes for years. But it passed and my health is for the better. I also gave up alcohol. That was a tough one, but I grew through the process of breaking through the cravings and learning to deal with each craving and finding a way around it. Prayers to you to get through this.

G'day Eva, Just want to say congrats on quitting. I quit some 10 plus years ago and have not looked back. I truly feel blessed that I found it so very easy, and I know this was so because I was mentally ready to give up as well as having support from my guides, angels and higher self. It was a group effort :) :) :) I asked them to show me a way I could quit without suffering cravings or replacing smoking with another substance. We all have our own ways of dealing with our challenges and finding our inner strengths They say the craving lasts for thirty seconds and to deep breath through it can be of assistance. Many blessings to you and you are surrounded by so many heartfelt thoughts of support and healing. Take care, be generous with yourself. Cheers from Australia. And Jacobs creations are absolutely amazing and made with much love. :)

This is great news! When I quit I made myself aware of the triggers that made me want a cigarette. Like brushing my hair! I know weird, right. Of course after eating. It helped me recognize these cravings and to tell myself it wasn’t real, just my brain misleading me. Then I could overcome that urge to smoke. I also have conversations with my brain and tell it to stop sending these signals! Sounds strange but it does help! Right now I am dealing again with the sweet cravings. A never ending battle.I tell myself if I give in it won’t make me feel better or be good for me. You are on a journey that will change your life for the better and before you know it you can say I quit years ago. I get the need to do something simple sometimes. I love the leftover journal and the box is beyond fabulous. I’m off to watch the art videos.❤❤❤

Sometimes, in times of extreme stress, I will get a craving, but then I tell myself no, dont do it, and it goes away. Im very proud of you. Now I just have to do another very dificult thing, and stop my addiction to sweets or ill end up diabetic the dr has informed me. CONGRATULATIONS Eva!! Nicotine only stays in your system for about 2 -3 weeks. It's the times we smoke that push the habit more than the nicotine. eg, on the phone, driving in the car, after a meal. etc. Those are the times you need to do something else. I smoked for 40 years and quit in 3 days by vaping. My lungs cleaned themselves for about four months and then I quit vaping. Best thing I ever did for myself. (Don't be surprisedf if you cough a lot for a while. That is how your lungs clear themselves of the yucky stuffu accumulated from smoking) You will love that food tastes better, walking is easier and you won't have that lingering smell of cigarettes all over you. (I didn't realize how bad I stunk until I quit). Then, a little over a year ago I quite sugar, and most carbs and lost 80lbs. It wasn't voluntary at first as I was told I had Diabetes II. But, I am happy to say that I don't have it anymore thanks to changes in diet and resulting weight loss. I allow myself some sweets and carbs now and again but I never want to go back to my previous weight. I am so happy for you, and all of your subscribers that said they quit also. Now there is more money for journal stuff right? haha Love what you do and how you do it. Thanks for your wonderful videos.

But I have to say I felled many times myself. But once you put your mind to it you got it. You’re doing great. Keep it up you got this. One of the things I did I keep an unopened pack with me at all times. That way if I started wanting one I could tell my self I’m not out and I don’t need one right now. I carry that pack cigarettes with me for a year and once I made it a year that finally got rid of it. Maybe this can help you .

That's so awesome! I as well have quit a habit I've had for a long time. Quite honestly the hardest thing I've ever had to do. But I've been clean off heroin for a month. Crafting has also helped as well as having tasks that didn't require any thought . That was organizing all of my craft supplies and beads and trinkets. So I'm a little over a month clean. I don't drink alcohol but I do smoke cigarettes and that will eventually be quit as well. Congrats on your journey. Quitting bad habits is not an easy thing to do. Thank you for the encouragement

Congratulations my lovely... I like you tried and after 23 yrs I finally quit... Day by day.. keeping my hands busy.. I chewed on mints... To keep my mouth busy,... Now it's over 4 yrs... One thing that helped was realising that the reason I started no longer was needed... Broken life started me. But after so long... I was not Brocken anymore... Don't think if failing... Lol just think each new day is a day closer to freedom❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I quit smoking a long time ago. When I had a hard time breathing I would drink caffeine (Diet Pepsi and coffee at that time) and it would open my bronchial tubes. I learned the trick as my son had (has) asthma and in an asthmas class I learned that if out camping and nothing medical available that coffee was a good thing to help open the airways. I still have my coffee but Diet Pepsi only once in awhile.😃 You can do it, I know you can.🤗Hugs, 💖Love, and🦋Butterfly Blessings sent your way, always🤗💖🦋 P.S. Your son is an excellent student❣️

Well done Eva, one day at a time and i have stopped again for only 2 months, it is a real challenge. the battle is also the mind...don't give up keep going and you will feel better in the long run. Your health will improve. I certainly find that creating definitely keeps the mind from wandering to bad habits.... Your son is as talents as you , lovely box with journals.

So proud of you Eva👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Your body will go through many changes as it purges and detoxifies itself, don’t be surprised with some of the symptoms you experience as 25 years is a long time. The amazing thing is, our bodies are programmed to heal!🙌🏼It is truly amazing and you are right to tell yourself that “I can do this!” You can and you will🙏🏼 Be kind to yourself💞Keep yourself hydrated, drink water because your body needs to be hydrated to help it to flush out toxins. Also make sure you take electrolytes as flooding the body with water, without maintaining things like magnesium, potassium and sodium (natural & unprocessed sodium) is important for your heart…there is a lot of good information that will help support you through your healing process. Hydration along with a healthy diet and some good supportive herbs can help you on your journey to a healthier you. Don’t let the ups and downs detour you, it is normal and it will be worth it‼️God bless you and I will be holding you up in prayer🙏🏼💗

Eva, thank you 🙏 for being so open and willing to share.....I quit smoking 17 yrs ago. Was it easy, nope but it sure was one of the best things I did for myself. Before the final "end" day I had kept cigarette butts in a tin can and whenever I had the urge for a smoke I stuck my nose in that can. Nasty smell 🤢 and urge gone. Throughout the day at work I would chew these Nicorette gums but that didn't last long because the more I was chewing the more nicotine was released and the taste was awful. Eventually I told myself I can do it without these. Weight gain will happen for many people, more so we women but you have already started to go to the gym, so you are definitely on the right track 👍. Another thing I did was to set aside each week the money I would have spend on the smokes. After a few months I had enough to buy me guilt free 🙂 something and feeling proud of myself that I had stuck it out to not touch a cigarette. Whatever method will work for you, you will find out, don't get discouraged and keep moving forward. Think about all the positive that is connected with giving up smoking. Last and least: “It always seems impossible until it’s done.”(Nelson Mandela)

You can achieve your goal it isn’t easy I know because I was there , 24 years ago I gave up from 80 a day yes 80 a day for 35 years !!!!! I felt really bad sending my child to school smelling of tobacco smoke so I kept that on my mind until I got over the craving. Yes I put on a tonne of weight but I eventually I got to managing that and I am still battling with it. But I believe on you! Your journal is beautiful junk 😂. I love it. I often find boxes of things I have made for a journal I was working on on but for some reason I didn’t use it and put it to the side and eventually it went into a box on the top shelf. You have inspired me to me to get those boxes out and use them.

🎉💥🎊🎈🚭Good for you, Eva!!!! I too have been through the quitting smoking battle after over 20 years, so hard!!! The year I quit I had so many respiratory problems, never coughed up so much. I had to re-learn things I did because I timed things by smoking a cigarette. It took me 6 months before I had a real good grip and then I got hit with a strong urge at about the year mark. I saved my last partial pack and fell to that year mark, but that year old nasty stale cigarette was all I needed to know I never wanted another one. Another year out and there are times when I see people in movies that gives me a bit of an itch, I just think of that nasty stale cigarette that choked me and it goes away. You got this, keep your hands busy and your mind occupied with things you couldn't do and smoke at the same time and you naturally put off smoking to keep doing. I also chewed on plastic coffee stir straw things to help keep from eating constantly. They offer a bit of resistance to pull air through and bite down on. I've heard real coffee candy can help too. My understanding is it's the stimulant aspect of the caffeine helps replace the stimulant aspect of nicotine. I can't say for sure as it is hard to find where I live in the US and wasn't able to try it myself. I wish you all the support and encouragement there is, but you don't need luck, you got this!!

Congratulations on starting the journey to quitting smoking. A good friend of mine stopped almost 20 years ago and her "secret" is, everyday she puts physical money in a large glass vase for the two packs of cigarettes she would have spent. It is a clear message that shows her that her health is more important and now she takes even greater vacations with the saved funds.

Oh my goodness! What a challenging goal. I'm late seeing this video, so I don't know if you are still a non smoker....I hope you are succeeding.❤❤ I am SO SO glad that I never smoked, because I've seen friends struggle with quitting. Even though I grew up with a mother who smoked like a chimney, I was never tempted myself. In fact, it worked as aversion therapy, I guess. As a kid, I always hated the smell of it. Best of luck, stay strong.🤗
