Welcome to my first ever solo Don't Starve Together let's play series where I will attempt to beat all bosses on my own and also build some cool bases and farms. I will be explaining my game plan and giving DST tips and tricks along the way. I hope you'll enjoy it!
In this episode I went through some early game duties - exploring the world, gathering resources, farming food, building a small base and killing the Eye of Terror boss (although I didn't know how to kite it properly lmao).

Nice video. Though for the beginning section, I find twiggy trees to be a nice supplement to saplings. After a few days they start appearing and you can plant them at base for constant stick production regardless of season.

I agree, but I didn't want a world with 0 saplings so I just disabled twiggy trees.

@@GreedyGabriel You can set starting resource variety to classic, which will cause no twiggy trees to exist at first, over time however resource regeneration will create new twiggy trees

@@yottacat setting resource gen to classic also makes sure that you don't get juicy berries and grass gekkos

11:05 LMAO, that was my reaction when I got back to this game again. I am pretty sure back then if the first hound wave is day 8 or something, there would be a lot of hounds. Klei did nerf hound waves to the ground. I mean at one hand I kinda like the change because hound waves are the most annoying thing in this game. They always come when you are trying to do something productive, but on the other hand, I feel like that's just another thing to make this game a bit too easy apart from characters getting buffs.

Log suit + backpack works but switching it all the time is SOOOOO annoying, so i like football helmets better, i just use the pig skin i get from hammered pig heads, and by the time they're all spent, i hopefully already have a small pig farm

At that point you might want to unlock the magic tab. Getting a shadow manipulator is not easy but it gives you access to the dark sword, which is one of the best weapons in the game.

@@executorarktanis2323 the ruins is a dangerous part of the caves, where you can get valuable resources and craft powerful items, I'll go there during the summer, hopefully.
