Much respect to both fighters! At around 2:20 when the top guy was sitting back in mount, Ben/yellow shirt could’ve thrusted his hips really hard and put an arm between the opponent’s legs punching his arm up, he might’ve been able to swim out the back into back control.

That is a great escape you are talking about, but with my ground game that most likely would have ended in a triangle choke. A basic shrimp to find guard and then clenched to be stood back up I think would have been his best game plan. He had a lot of fight in him for sure.!!

This is defos said from a person who has never fought in their life As a person who trains mma sometimes an armbar is the best option if they are defending your ground and pound you kind of have to go for the submission or stand up but that could risk losing a perfect opportunity for a submission which leads to a win as shown here
