Town of Salem 2 brings new roles, new features, and new life to the world of Salem and the social deduction genre. Join up to 14 other players online and use your wit and abilities to emerge victorious. As a Town member, your goal is to lead your fellow members to victory by identifying and eliminating your opposition. Use your role's unique abilities to reveal yourself as innocent, track down killers, or even take down suspicious individuals. There are countless ways to play and win.
Meanwhile, the Coven, Neutral, and Apocalypse factions work from the shadows, using their own abilities to thwart the Town's efforts. Whether it's burning away dead bodies, blocking Town members' abilities, or going on a killing rampage, each role has its own unique approach to achieving victory.

BetterTOS2 Mod adds 7 new roles and various new content such as Jackal , Auditor , Judge, Starspawn , Oracle and Inquisitor to enhance the TOS2 gameplay. And the mod also comes with various balance changes fixing what was problematic in vanilla,

"Rec Psy is useless" It's worse than useless. You have to post evil visions and your Jackal can be in there without your knowledge so you would be forced to give inaccurate wills or potentially hang your own team mate.

It's a matter of mindset, if Coven is avalanche winning they will start prioritizing to find the traitor but they also can't out them or they will say all the coven numbers out of revenge.

They don't, but until late game there is really no reason for rec to go against Coven. Town is just more dangerous

It’s more of a mutual understanding between the 3 real coven and the recruit that they’ll have to begrudgingly work together for now as recruit turning on the coven early is a death sentence for both sides as town holds to much power.

I feel like banshee is rlly underpowered, so I think with the necronomicon it should be able to hear whispers, as just deafing a player is like a budget voodoo master move.

The deafen means they’ll be in the dark about a day and not have the minute details. The best to do is have some players be tasked to whisper the deafened players the important information to catch them up so they aren’t as behind. (In VFA for a deafened player if I’m not deafened next I’ll whisper them my claim and my claim list so they have that to work with for claims to make sure they’re informed about that.)

@@cyanideytcuriousseadoggo Yeah I understand, but don’t you think having a banshee is just useless? It’s just voodoo master from wish, but it’s only useful when a TI is revealed, (such as invest, sheriff or psychic)

@@shoh4morpumpkinguy coven can choose who lives into the endgame. They can take the people with incomplete info there to add to the confusion as only they have the full picture of chat and can use it to gaslight more effectively

Is banshee better or voodoo? bc inever played banshee at all But from my perspective voodoo is better

Banshee is terrifying, IMO. If someone gets voodoo'd, they'll say whatever they needed to say one day later, or in their last will. If someone gets banshee'd, they will miss any information that came out that day forever, because town won't repeat it. If someone gets banshee'd during VFA for example, they might never see everyone's claims. If a deafened player misplays because of their lack of information, it's an easy wasted trial at least, and sometimes an easy mislynch. Coven chooses who they take into the endgame, so by leaving Banshee'd players alive, they can have an endgame with a confused town.

And treat deafened players with more slack on info established on days they couldn’t read chat(Or have some players whisper the important details to the deafened guy so they’re caught up and can follow along relatively normally. I would have multiple players do so since there’s no point in adding risk to not catch the deafened guy up on the main points.)
