@disciple duSeigneur Thank you for giving me literally the exact material I needed in my essay to prove my point of Christianity's involvement in the problematic "You should accept me no matter what!" that people use as an excuse to be shitty people. To be clear though I don't think being gay is wrong. 40 people wrote the bible and countless times throughout the bible there were writings of people who would contort the words of the lord for their own personal gain who were smited. Even Moses(he didn't necessarily contort the lords words. but he did say that the power he had was his own power and not the lords ^-^.) So to think that not a single one of those 40 people didn't write something that was suited for their own personal bias rather than the lords words is just silly. not to mention the bible was also written during a time homosexuality would be relationships without love between older men and non-consenting younger boys which is a sin. My pastor is a homosexual who has children and lives a very fulfilling life helping other people in need. So quit the bull shit about living lonely miserable lives you can't speak for other people. You should try looking into yourself and just admitting that you do have a bit of bias towards homosexuals. Maybe not even a full on phobia, but definitely a bias against. Marriage is hard even between gay people, it is filled with just as much work as any other marriage and is definitely not some addictive drug. And the sex is just as dangerous as when a straight couple does it hate to break it to you. btw this coming form a 19 y/o pansexual guy who has dated both men and women and is currently in a healthy loving relationship with his girlfriend for over two years. I was raised going to church, have studied with Jehovah witnesses, latter-day saints, and is currently looking into buddhism while my girlfriend looks into wicka and practiced Catholicism since birth.
