Presentation reminds me of XIII a little from the PS2 times, plenty of style as well with the big subtitles overlaid with the background. I was also a little surprised with the fact that your character is Harding, who supposedly 'barely leaves the nest', and yet can run along tree branches with ease and take men apart with his bare hands with ease. And I like how there's plenty of personality in the voice acting too: nails the feeling of 'I'm just trying to be left alone and to deal with the memories of the awful things I've done, but I will still murder every single one of you if I have to.'
@TehNoobiness

When I was 14 years old, I was a small, quiet, bookish child. I was skinny and shy, and I preferred daydreams and fantastical stories to the company of my peers. This made going to a boys’ school hard, because boys can be very cruel to those who are different. One day, there was a sparrow sitting on the floor of the school cafeteria. It seemed dazed or confused, and did not react when boys got near it. I went to find a teacher to tell them that there was an animal that needed to be looked after, but I had a terrible feeling about leaving it alone with a group of teenage boys. at the cafeteria doors, I paused and turned around just in time to see one of the other boys kick the bird. His friends all laughed. I do not remember ever being angrier than I was in that moment. My entire body tingled with the rage that I felt. I genuinely believe that I was experiencing an altered state of consciousness. I remember running at the boys and screaming. I remember punching and clawing at their faces. The rest of the memory is blurry. My next memory after that is sitting in the office of the principal, trying to explain, why I had attacked those boys. I was in absolute disgrace, and was suspended from school. My parents sent me to a psychologist. I had never done anything like that before, and have never done anything like that since. I remember washing their blood off my hands, and out of my uniform shirt. I do not know what happened to the bird. I have never told anyone this story.

Actually, I can relate. When I was married, I had an affair with a co-worker of mine. My wife went berserk when she walked into our bedroom and dragged my affair partner out of bed and started wailing on her. However mad my wife was, I was 10x madder and I rushed her. The next thing that I know: she's on the floor with several teeth knocked out of her and two black eyes. I had to run to the bathroom and puke.

With just a few lines I can already tell Burken is the kind of insecure asshole who thinks he's more powerful and important than he really is, and is willing to send twice, if not three times, as many resources as it would take to do Harding's job at him just because he told him "no".

Even his box analogy sounds evil, with the way he uses it and the context given. Basically, his idea of someone's purpose, is that they need to be used for whatever they do best for as long as you can use them, regardless of wether they are happy or not. So he either sees people as slaves or tools that have usages until they don't and when they don't - you yeet them. Not saying this perspective is wrong necessarily, but it's frowned upon and is seen as wrong by vast majority of humanity due to such thing as "morality". He's one rational guy, or at least used to be one, considering he is ready to waste dozens of agents and a lot of resources to get back at one agent that is supposed to be retired

The push in hyper realism has shown the need for good games. Graphics do not make a game and people know that. We can barely tell the difference anymore with recent updates so why bother. When the graphics get too real the uncanny valley feeling just increases. Sometimes the point isn't to exactly replicate real life. Nintendo has shown this over the years by increasing graphics without the need for hyper realism. This game has managed to capture that same feat. Perfectly on the balance of gameplay and entertainment with a art aesthetic that's still immersive and fun. Idk who the devs are but they did a damn good job. The beauty in simplicity is sometimes not noticed.

I have never heard of this game, it looks cool, even if relatively simple. But as a writer I just cannot get over the character portrayed in between missions. The voice acting is fabulous. The character not the normal Tom Clancy military character either, he isn’t too edgy or overly patriotic. He isn’t Sam Fisher, or Solid Snake, or Bond. This is a really good original character. The closest I’d compare him to is Jack Cooper from Titanfall 2 but with even more of a no bs attitude.
