I needed to see this today!! Thank you for putting this video together. It's so different than the advice that's thrown around out there. We need this to circulate more so that we can be real about making 6-figures - and what that journey looks like. I know for me, the quality time with my family and the freedom I've gained from working for myself from home is priceless. I'm not at the 6-figure (although I welcome it when it's time), but at least I am making a living and my life feels pretty darn good! :)

Thank you, Deya! I particularly liked the distinction btw high and low-impact activities. It is easy to mess them up at the beginning. It would be great to have the same interview with freelancers who achieved a satisfactory work-life balance & some income consistency despite the typical challenges of freelancing, such as having to constantly look for clients. I am currently doubting this career because of that, and I am more inclined to do it as a side hustle.

Love that suggestion, Silvia! I will say 1) shifting my services into a recurringly-needed service (like business management, where a client needs me to manage their team and projects ongoingly) vs offering one-off services and 2) moving into retainer setups (vs hourly) helped me gain a LOT of consistency as a freelancer. In my 3rd and 4th year of freelancing, I was barely doing any active client acquisition!

love the distinction between high-impact and low-impact tasks. Definitely noticing I'm spending too much time on low-impact tasks

also really liked the point of separating with your business - even if it's just you and your business has your name!

This came at the right time for me. I am transitioning from a position. Long story short 13:44 :) you spoke to me!! I've been sitting on the fence on many things...one of them is your course :P.

So happy to hear you liked it! & honestly, I've also thought 'if only I started years ago' about SO many things in my life. The thing that helps me most when I get stuck in that thinking is finding a 10 minute task that I can do that feels easy / low pressure & gets me started. What's a 10 min task you can do to get started with that transition? :D

Been watching your videos for a while and think they are very insightful. One thing that jumped out to me in this video is hitting 6 figures. If you hit 6 figures after 6 years that’s only 16k a year. Now not to sound belittling but that’s not enough to live. I wonder if you can make a video going into more detail. Unless I am missing the point.

Hey Joe! For me and the guests in this video, hitting six figures meant 6 figures a year not 6 figures in total! :) I hope that helps & thanks so much for watching.
