前往台東參觀鳳梨釋迦的果園真的非常有趣難忘。鳳梨釋迦也立刻成為我在台灣最喜歡的水果之一。它們嚐起來非常特別，農民也與我分享它們具有非常高的營養價值，鳳梨釋迦的產季即將來臨，不想要錯過的你們也快點訂購起來！
我希望可以帶一些鳳梨釋迦回去加拿大，因為大部分的加拿大人根本沒有聽過這個水果！也許有一天吧：）
It was an absolutely pleasure to head over to Taitung and visit an incredible atemoya fruit farm. These are quickly becoming one of my favorite fruits in Taiwan. They taste amazing, and the farmers let me know they have a ton of nutritional benefits! Atemoya season is coming up soon, so be sure to order your boxes as soon as possible! I'd love to be able to take some of these with me to Canada, where most people have never even heard of them before! Maybe someday... :)

鳳梨釋迦超好吃，有天然果酸味，也不會太甜，我超愛吃；沒想到它的營養素那麼豐富，一顆可抵好幾顆其他的水果；我想衛斯理應該是說它像雪梨，想想是真的耶，謝謝分享！👍😃🙏

@@yhhsieh8763 沒錯，比較香甜！哦～剛忘了告訴你，以前剛進口時西洋梨也曾叫雪梨，後來好像梨山新品種也有此名，後來逐漸不再流行用，但google搜索圖片還是可找到！

過熟的釋迦會太甜，但是因為熟透後會很軟爛，很適合放在“冷凍袋”（製作冰品的小夾鏈袋）內封存冷凍，變成美味又獨特的釋迦冰棒。🤤🤤🤤

I grow annonas in my backyard (atemoyas, sugar apples, cherimoyas) California zone 10b. Florida can grow mainly atemoyas, rolinias and cherilatas

此影片學到不少，最重要是不能太軟會太甜，真的，之前放軟吃時很甜，馬上胃酸，嚇到不敢吃鳳梨4十，夏天靠近秋天的傳統大目4十，每年一定吃10顆以上，當季水果風味不同，豐富營養，在台灣才能嚐到最棒的台東特產，不要錯過喔！

I think this is my Taiwanese wife's favorite fruit! But I've never had it because the ones in the US never looked good. GREAT to know they ripen soon because I just arrived to Kaohsiung. yay!

Atemoya is very juicy and smooth, tasting slightly sweet and a little tart, the taste also resembles vanilla from its sugar-apple parent. it is beneficial for weight loss, lowers blood pressure levels. The fruit is generally eaten fresh, you can freeze the ripe fruit for an all-natural ice cream as well. Yum 😋

老實說，這是改良的釋迦，有鳳梨的香甜味，但口感太甜了！外觀也有一點不一樣！我還是喜歡小時候的傳統的釋迦口感，不會過甜。

原來鳳梨釋迦甜度會改變，放太軟他會變甜！我一直在煩惱不想吃太甜的人只能少吃鳳梨釋迦，原來早點切來吃就不會太甜了。

"So... How many times did you shake that girl's hand?" said Katherine. 😝 They sell Cherimoya fruits in Asian grocery stores in the US but maybe not Atemoya. Would love to try when get the chance to. 😋 btw, Cherimoya seeds are toxic, so are Atemoya seeds as mentioned in some web site. So it's a good idea to blend Atemoya fruits without the seeds.

10幾20年前，我便秘，看腸胃科，醫生介紹我吃多纖水果，那時，鳳梨釋迦剛出沒多久，醫生說，吃少量，可利便，吃多，會落賽，我不信，吃了半顆，拉一整天。

My brother in law and his son(my nephew) grow this fruit in Taitung as well. Most of their products used to be exported to China. Due to political issues, China government banned the importation of the fruit without solid justification. My sister told me her husband and son decided to shrink their production volumn.

I really like this kind of fruit, please don't shrink the production volume. I believe you can find another place to export other than China. Chinese people will not allow to eat this kind of good food due to the political reasons, that's their lost. Wish you led the other people in the world know that atemoya is such a superfruit for everyone.

衛斯理好像把釋迦的籽吞下去，或許有吐對不起還是我沒看到，很多外國人來台吃水果都沒有把籽吐出來，像芭樂籽小就不用吐，但釋迦籽比較大吞下去不怎麼ko我也喜歡吃鳳梨釋迦很甜肉不會沙沙的非常好吃！👍

I had heard of 释迦牟尼 (the Buddha), never 凤梨释迦。😁 This is the first time I learnt of it. This looks like a soursop, but I learnt from the Internet that it's a hybrid. I like the speaking & hosting style of yours, Wes. Very steady & professional! You could qualify to be a real TV host in real life!

It is probably because you do not shop at Asian grocers ever before hence why you had never seen this fruit sold in Canada. In fact, they have been importing these in limited quantities straight from Taiwan or from Southeast Asia for quite a few years. Pricey but they can be found in Canada.

In Chile, we call it “ Chilimoya “, but not so sweet as atémoya in TaiTung.

These are available to grow in certain parts of the united states. Florida and California are probably the biggest growers. A lot of us have it in our backyard. I have suagr apples, atemoyas and cherimoyas in California zone 10b

thanks Wes, as a native Taiwaenes , I neven knew that the custard apple (atemoya) has such various and plenty of adequate nutrition. I would love to eat it more from this year. BTW, will ty to fry it next time...
