That's what I was seeing. I wouldn't be excited about that at all man. That's just some highway robbery in my eyes. I guess that's why I don't collect these cards anymore. In time they will be useless when they continue to reprint even the OG sets constantly.

Well aware of how it works. However, it does kill the marketplace a lot when they do this. 99% of people are gonna buy the 2 dollar version because it is really the same exact thing. Sure it is not the 1st edition, but the only people that are buying the big 30k hits and so forth are the whales of the TCG. Chances are when they already got the perfect one they aren't gonna be looking to add more to that. They are probably gonna go to another card unless they just have a thing for that specific card for sentimental reasons. In that case they are gonna sit there for a very very long time. They do sell, but the majority that are selling as of late are the reprints of the PSA 8s because they are out of reach for most. But, in theory it actually does devalue the 1st editions because there are other variants of it and when they reprint that much as they do they are easier to come by and many people actually like more. There's a reason why you see 1 million dollar cards elsewhere and these so low in comparison Because even with the 1st editions they produced so much of it that it degraded the value then they have made many variants that are hunted and saught after more so than 1st editions that aren't nearly as rare and far more obtainable. That's why I'm saying with the way they print these it won't be long before they are deemed to be fairly "worthless." The Yu-Gi-Oh marketplace already has dropped by over 70% even with the 1st editions and it isn't looking to make a comeback either.

Card value increases, the price you paid doesnt. Especially for an anime card from the first set in first edition, possible psa 10.

At what card price is it even worth it to get it graded? I mean about 20$ per grading i think + shipping etc.

@@groovyt5441 I'd say 30+ bc if you single grade a card that sells for 30 at a psa 10 you profit 5$ on a sale after ship. Where as a card that sells for psa 10 for 30$ prob sells for 1$ or less ungraded so you make 5 times what you would by grading it even if it's only 4$ more. Ideally you would grade a few in one go so the shipping becomes like 1$ per card in a whole lot. To max your profit. So sure not a big gain but prices rise the older the card gets. Aswell as 30 cards with a 4 dollar profit is still 120$ you wouldn't make selling ungraded. It's volume and long run. Like the celtic guardian he pulled is a 1000 card at a psa 10 but 20 years ago it was a 15$ dollar card at psa 10.

I ain't gonna tell him that you only get 400$ for a 1st edition psa 10 and most cards dont get a psa 10 even fresh from a booster, never been touched before and never seen the light of day outside the factory. And i ain't gonna tell him that he maybe played with the cards as a kid or possibly has a second print which as a psa 7 or 8 would get him like 30 bucks.
